My skull is really oddly shaped in the back. Or maybe it's not that bad. Guys tell me what you think, is it really that bad? Or am I just being hypercritical? I'm thinking if it's not as noticeable as I think I'll just keep my hair at this length!
-
Hello there!
No matter how thoroughly I look at your pictures, I cannot notice anything extraordinary. Everyone has a different shape of skull, there is no such a thing as "skull form standard" :}
Yeah, most people are quite hypercritical to themselves.
-
You're being too critical of yourself. My head isn't much different than yours in back. In six months no one has ever mentioned it and even if someone did, it wouldn't matter!
-
Thanks for the answers friends. What do you think about the length it's at right now? I'm thinking of keeping it like this or maybe going one size shorter.. I don't know if I could go sly just yet.. @c3
(I might consider it if I had better facial hair growth, but it's pretty scant down there)
-
Looks good as is. My advice would be to go shorter and see how you like it. Ultimately you should give sly a try - I think you'd like the look and feel.

I would recommend that you should go just one size shorter; a too drastic change would likeably make you even more insecure.

Take it down...or why not just try SLY? 8)
If you don't like it, it will grow back...but chances are you will love being SLY!!! O0
I wouldn't worry about head shape at all...most people are super critical of themselves when they are at the same point you are.

Yeah I like the idea of going one size shorter. Maybe sly is in the not too distant future for me, but not quite yet. Baby steps, right?

Welcome, you've come to the right place for support and advice.

From what your pictures show, you're around a 3 to a 4 and it's probably time to let go. MPB does not reverse--it's a progression and the end game is 7. So your choice really is take control, shave it off or let Mother Nature do it her way, hair, by hair, by hair. Most here will attest that getting rid of the dying mop is the most liberating thing they've done. It's time, check out the shaving tips and be free.

Do you guys think I've got a good face for sly?
-
Yes, you do have a good face and head for sly. Go for it! You're among friends here.
-
Do the bald thing. You're going to like the way you look.
-
that won't be a problem.
and, welcome to sbgs.
-
I think it'd look great man!
-
welcome and yes.
-
Welcome. I wasn't as far along as you and decided it was time to shave it off so my suggestion is to go for it.
I didn't think your skull looked strange, I thought the black squiggles over your eyes looked strange :D but I see it cleared up in the latest picture. I think you'll be happier if you go for the end game instead of worrying what you'll look like.
-
You worry too much, don't be too hard on yourself. You have a good head for the bald look. If it is baby steps you want, then I am all for it. Good luck on the journey to become sly.
-
sure you will look great
-
I vote for shaving it down slick...you'll be thrilled at the feeling.
-
Dude,
You have a great head. Go for it! You will be glad you did. You will look great!
-
Nothing wrong with your head. You'll look awesome bald! Go for it!
As a matter of fact, nobody has a perfect round head. But in most cases the minor flaws don't affect the look. I don't mind the small lumps I have. The sensation of being smooth is better than anything.
Give yourself a try.

Go for it. You will love it. Give it 30 days. If you don.'t like the look it will grow back.
