Title: shades
Post by: skeeterbill on April 28, 2007, 03:23:16 PM
Don't you love how your shiny chrome dome looks when you're wearing sunglasses? It's a great look.

I agree.  The shine from the sunglasses helps to accent the baldhead.  How cool is that. 8) 8) 8)

I love wearing shades.  The shades in my avatar are actually safety glasses (hey, they look like Oakleys).  I am a teacher, but a buddy has me mow properties in the summer (2 days/week).  Great summer gig, too bad the grass is growing now and I have to keep up with it on weekends.   Get a little sun and spending money.  Back to topic, you can't go wrong with a SLY dome and shades.  O0

There is no doubt that sly guys rock the look with shades.

Ok I guess I'm going to have to update my pis, and put on some sun glasses so I can follow everyone else. Maybe I'll strike the Robmister pose with no shirt and my arms folded, or maybe the pigpen poes hummmmm tuff choices. 8)

They look to be about $60.  Some pretty cool styles.  My problem is I always lose my sunglasses.  I set them down somewhere and forget them.  That being said, I usually buy knock-offs of the more expensive brands.

Seeing that my pic has me sporting my Ray Bans, I guess I'd have to agree with the sly /shade combination.   O0

I can actually wear several styles since shaving my head.  Before it was harder to pick out a style that I actually liked.

Same here since goin' SLY, but I don't think it was hard for me to find sun glass styles I thought I would like...just couldn't find a receding hairline/shade combo worthwhile once I put them on.  O:O

Same here.  I can wear pretty much any kind of shades now and they'll look good to some degree.

Shades are cool, but I don't need to use shades to accent my bald head.
My shiny SLY dome speaks for itself!! :*))

I wear shades for the purpose they were meant for,
protecting the eyes from the dangerous UV rays.

OK I have to admit , shades really complete the whole SLY look.
I got a new pair of Adidas Gazelle Sunglasses just yesterday! O:O
....and I can't wait to put them on!

My shades are prescription, but I chose the model so I can add a strap to them when I am on rollercoasters or a jetski. Terrible to be blind on a jetski!!

I need some new shades also. I usually buy the knockoffs because I either lose 'em or the kids end up breaking them.

Sounds like this could be another product for the store or e-bay there Tyler.  How about a SBG brand of shades?

The price of Dirt Dogs runs between 60 and 120 depending on the style and what not. I think I paid 90 for mine about 3 years ago

I bought a new set of shades when I was in Hawaii.  Today I went to take them off of the visor where I have a clip to store them.  They had a huge scratch on one of the lenses.  I think my wife accidentally scratched them with her ring.  There's $120 down the drain... :'(

That's a bummer!  Also, why I rarely spend more than $20 on sunglasses...I break 'em, scratch 'em, or lose 'em.  :(

I but all my Oakleys on e-Bay.  I also have a couple pairs of "cheap sunglasses" as ZZ Top made popular.  Can't have too many peeps!   O:O

Some places that specialize in glasses manufactuering (optomitry clinics) might be able to polish out the scratch, also many company that charge that much for their glasses claim to be scratch resistant..... a huge scratch isn't remotely resisted..... contact the OEM dude.....

just a couple options for you Tyler.

Funny you mention this now.  I just sent them an email this evening asking if they can repair or replace the lens for less than buying a pair of new glasses.
