Title: How do you take the shaving moment?
Post by: Paul the Headblader on November 19, 2011, 01:12:20 PM
Ok, so, check on this:
How do you take the shaving moment? like, the time when you have to shave?
Is it like "..omg, I have to do it all again, I so hate this", or "yayx! headshave! I've been waiting for this moment!" ?
For me, it's like "Shaving time ... :D time to reset, to forget anything happened, and to start an awesome time till the next time I'll have to shave it"
How's it for you?

I know it's therapeutic for a lot of guys, but for me its just another chore to get done. If I could take a pill to make me permanently smooth, I'd do it without hesitation.

I am always looking forward to being shaved smooth, be it by my regular barber or doing it myself. I am one of those who see head shaving as therapy.

Personally, I dim the lights...light some candles...put on some Barry White...put a bottle of champagne on ice with some strawberries on the side...throw some rose petals on the floor... :D

I look forward to, and enjoy the shave myself; though not quite in the same way Arnie does, lol.  ;)

Like others, if I could be smooth for life I'd be happy. I shave every couple days now and it is part of my routine. I shave in the shower every other day and it might be weird without it but it wouldnt be the end of the world. I do have times when I am in the middle of shaving when I feel like a rebel and just awesome but other times (like tonight) I drag my feet and try to make it til morning because I just dont feel like shaving

The best time is when I finish and splash on the witch hazel, unplug the Lava lamp and turn off my "Bulldog" CD.

I was a bit on the lazy side till joining this site...I just left it alone until the itching drove me crazy! Now that I'm out of commission for a couple of weeks or so, I now have to stock up on Noxzema and Sea Breeze!. When I'm free to shave again, I will develop a more consistent routine...I certainly have enough razors!

I"ll have to do this when I go sly on Jan 21.

Maybe we should all come to your place for a shaving event.

Ditto!
Sometimes I enjoy the ritual of headshaving and sometimes I wish I could be permanently smooth so I wouldn't have to bother shaving everyday.
I do prefer the smooth feeling which requires dayly shaving - sometimes a joy, sometimes a chore.
It would be nice if one could take a pill to take a break from shaving and still stay smooth. ;-)

I actually look forward to it every morning, so it has become routine. I love my head clean and smooth. But I have to admit there are days I'm just too lazy or I have so little time that I would have to rush it which I don't like at all.
I like to take my time to shave  (15 min aprox) after the shower, could do it faster but would loose accuracy which my head doesn't deserve

As I keep saying, I'm on-again - off-again BBC. When I shave, I always plan the "event" of shaving off all m hair - whether it's a barbershop shave or cajoling friends into a head shaving party.

And while I'm bald, because my hair is coarse and thick, I hate to miss a day of shaving and if I miss 2 days, the shave is long and painful. Which is why I sometimes get tired of the routine and grow it back. But I always know that a smooth dome is in my near future...

Arnie scares me sometimes :( but for me it is becoming a chore, never would have thunk it. Maybe cause it's cold up here (6 degrees) and the cold water rinse almost gives me a heart attack :o

Because I shave everything in the shower, I look forward to the few moments I'm not likely to be disturbed. I enjoy the process of it. The never ending quest to be absolutely smooth. I like the warm steam, the sense of having accomplished something when I'm done. And, as some others have said, wish I needed-not wanted-needed to do again sooner.

Just part of the routine for me. Like others said if there was a pill i could take that would stop me from having to shave I would take it in a second.
