Title: Any Aussie Brethren?
Post by: Robmeister on November 12, 2011, 10:00:34 AM
Hey gang!

Would like to chat with any Sly Aussie brethren.   Someone from Sydney would be ideal.   Even more ideal would be an American who relocated to Sydney for any length of time.

Anyone who lives or lived in Sydney or anywhere in Australia for at least 2 years.

I've been researching the prospect of relocating to Sydney for business purposes.

Thanks, mates!!

Also comparing the economies, climates, etc.... of Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, & Melbourne....basically all the other big cities....the economy as a whole has been strong.   Toying with the prospect of being on the ground floor of the Australian Zrii launch that's round the corner.   Was part of the U.S./Canada launch and was the best move I've made.

The Aussie launch doesn't necessarily mean a full-blown relocation.  But checking out various business visa options and what not.  But I've heard/read a GLUT of great things about relocating ("removing") to Australia.   Of course a visit to each of these cities will go a long way. My sister lived in Queensland for several years when I was a kid and RAVED about the experience up and down.

Your post made me think of a verse in the song, "Down Under" by Men At Work.  I am thinking about Vegemite Sandwiches now!

I see a new Swamp people out made in Austrailia,  I do have some distant cousin's living over there.  Also have watched all I can over the telly about this land.  Find it very interesting and love the way each and all talk.  Would like to hear more on this. :)

G'day Rob,

I'm from about an hour south west of Melbourne (Geelong). I've only been to Sydney once but have a handful of online friends from all around Sydney... so feel free to hit me up if you want to know anything and I'll do my best to help you!

Thanks,  mates!   That was almost a year ago when I started this thread.   But have been gradually feeling out and researching the prospect of moving down under.   Not a move ya wanna make on a whim.   Have found there's a lot of hoops to jump through before having a business down there.   Can't just come to town and set up shop.
