So today marks my first week of a clean head. Well I don't know how clean. I can see that it is going to take me a while to figure out what will work the best for me. My head is still really pale, plus my hair is dark so I have a pretty bad shadow. My hair seems to be really coarse and its really hard to get it close. Blades are kind of painful and electrics are time consuming. I think I'll just take a couple hundred bucks and buy every razor and shaving product that I can find, then try every combination possible.I'm going to end up with quite a collection.
I'm kind of jealous of some of you guys with the really "clean" look. I won't really consider myself "sly" until I can achieve that.

If you have thick, dark, coarse hair you will have a dark shadow. You'll have it until your either go gray/white or go bald.
Get yourself the latest Panasonic wet or dry and shave wet in the shower. This shaver has the power to really shave you smooth. Follow up with the blade of your choice and you'll be as smooth as you are capable of getting with a full head of hair.

Yep, that's what I did, probably most of the people in here, too. You can always sell unwanted stuff on ebay.

Like Red, I'm also a big fan of the Panasonics...the newest model I have is the ES-LA 63 and it is a fine machine. Also there are times when I use cold steel, a Fusion. Good luck!

razors aren't painfull to me, not at all.
try gillette blue 3, it works good for me.
