Do you get more smiles from women when out? I've been noticing this more.

First weekend after going sly the wife & I were flying to the West Coast. Wife snoozing, our seats were near the galley. The stewardess starts talking with me, tells me her name and suddenly I realize, she's interested in me--it had been a really long time since anything like that had happened. Then wifey wakes up--she hadn't been pleased with the move to sly--and gave Jennifer the evil eye. I wonder at times if that little scene might not have set my wife's attitude rather firmly against the move to sly >:D.
And, yes, the smiles and compliments have continued, I just haven't had Jennifer on one of my flights since. >:(.

It takes a large amount of confidence to shave one's head, maybe this confidence is what brings about smiles from other people, men and women alike. Of course, it does not hurt that a smooth bald head stands out and easily catches attention. ;)

No. :'(

damn
I've got curly hair before, it was...normal.
Now, with a shaved dome, I'm like ...abnormal, special, diffrent. I've got smiles only from those who know me, the others are like "wow? ha? :O"
:)

Actually yes I have. I still can't figure out why but I'm guessing either they dig it or think I'm harmless. :)
-
No change that I'm aware of. :(
-
Totally! My girlfriend hates my bald look because of that ;)

Most responses I get from the girlz are very positive.

Yup, even with our hair style increasing in numbers we do stand out. Tonight at a restaurant a sweet young thing kept looking at my slick 'n' shiny...so I asked her if she wants a touch. She laughed and said yes, but her husband was standing next to her and he'd kill her. So I asked him for her and convinced him that I was old and harmless. So he told her to go ahead and he went back to his beer. So she rubbed my head and she was giggling and laughing as I was rubbing her cute butt. Chrome domes can make their own kind of fun, right?

Nice!!!

I'm not looking for more attention, but a good friend of the family always rubs my buzzed head each time she sees me. Even if it is every day for several days in a row. She walks up and scratch, scratch, scratch.
My wife does that occasionally, too. Maybe someday she will enjoy doing that. Or the feels of my bald head when I shave it in January.

i do get the double-take with smiles but i think it's because i go out usually naked ^-^

I have noticed that they smile back at me and maintain eye contact much more often now.
-
I've been getting that too, along with nods of approval from other slys.

I think Kalbo makes a valid point here. Funny you mention it, I have noticed a few more smiles from the fairer sex since going Sly but it may be from my new Sly attitude, which includes me smiling more. So I don’t think I am better looking, I think its got to do with what Kalbo said, "They admire the confidence you have for taking a bold step." And my first smile may be the catalyst.
Anyway, I will take all the smiles I get...
Smiling is good...
:) :) :)

Well said bud! I'm thinking that is the reason too.

Definitely, yes!
A lot more people seem to admire the sly-bald look these days. I think it is all to do with an air of confidence thing, though.
-
I would have to say yes also. From anyone, women and men O:O

I think that the smiles have come more often since I went sly....but for some strange reason babies like to smile at me a lot when they see me....I wonder why?

nice to revist this thread. Shaved my head in January. At first my wife would not touch it. Now she frequently gives me head rubs like our family friend mentioned above. We'll see her again in September. Wonder what the response will be?

I find this as well Harry. Maybe they think we look like giant babies? ;)
