hello fellow chrome domes:
what was the last dvd/blu-ray movie U watched? and do U recommend it? i'll start... my last dvd movie i watched was "fast5" with paul walker, the sexy jordana brewster, and fellow sly guys... vin diesel & the rock. we enjoyed this movie on the big screen that i wanted 2 purchase the dvd. this was probably the best of the "fast & furious" series. if U watch "fast5"... continue watching it after the credits because there is an extra scene in the movie. the movie was filled with non-stop action & it was filmed in brazil so U know it included some eye candy. O0
so... how 'bout U? what was the last dvd or blu-ray movie U watched? was it good? was it bad? what's your story?

I dont watch DVD's or Blu-ray :( If I watch a movie, I download it from iTunes or watch one I already own (in iTunes)
I watched this one a couple of hours ago:

Horrific, but I've seen it about 20 times so I can handle it.

From Paris with Love, featuring a sly John Travolta. Not the best film I've ever seen, but decent.
-
A couple of nights ago, I had a dream that John Travolta died. I had to log on to the BBC website at about 2am to figure out if it was a dream or not.
Not that this is relevant.

Last night was classic night. The original "Andromeda Strain" and the original "The Thing".
-
I only ever really watch disaster movies. They're the only type that interest me.
-
I love Westerns but I'm starting to run out of good ones to watch.
-
I dont think I've ever seen a western. Does that Doris Day movie count as a western? The one where she was living in North Dakota or somewhere and she was kinda masculine.

I don't think I'm familiar with that one ... ???

I dont know what it was called but I was what I'd imagine a western to be like, except with singing.

Westerns are films like John Wayne and Clint Eastwood used to make. You've never seen Unforgiven or Rio Bravo or The Good, The Bad and the Ugly or The Searchers?

That definitely has a western setting, but I'd classify it as a musical rather than a western.

Nope, never even heard of them. I know JW and CE were very popular actors but I dont think I've ever seen either of them in anything.

You've got some catching up to do, then. ;)

Sounds like it :)
Actually, I correct myself, I did see a movie with CE. The Bridges of Madison County. That wasnt a western though.

No, and it was probably his worst picture ever.

It wasn't a great movie. I watched it because I like meryl streep but I've seen better movies.

I thought it was tedious. Check out his Dirty Harry films; they're all good.

Grand Torino was a good one of his movies!
As for my last movie, I watched Stander. It a movie based on the true story of the youngest South African Captain in the Johannesburg Police Force and South Africa's most notorious bank robber - both were the same person! I thought it was pretty good.

The last dvd movie I watched was "Man On Fire" with Denzel Washington.
