Ok, so I have been reading about razor sharping, devices, etc. I just honed an old disposable razor by using my towel. Holy smokes, it is the best thing I ever did. I honed before the grain then again for against the grain. Then I honed once more and did my face.
Smoothed shave ever. YOU GOTTA TRY THIS. All it took was 20 quick passes over the towel. I'm going to see how long this razor will last.
Give it a try your next shave, let me know what you think....

Thanks, but I value my skin too much to use a disposable razor on it, let alone rubbing it with a towel. Thanks though :)

www.razorpit.com <--- it works :)

I've got a hard Arkansas hone I'll try on an old disposable...vamos aver.

Thanks, but I value my towels too much to use a razor on them. I want my head sly, not my towels. :*))

Hi Quantex, I followed your advise and it worked. I extended the life of my disposable razor. Thank you.

With all due respect, I'm not sure I understand why anyone would want to extend the life of a disposable razor. Or use a disposable razor in the first place...

Just trying to get more out of my money's worth. Times are hard.

I was looking through a Lehman's catalog today and saw the razor sharpening gadget for $12. And that reminded me of the towel trick I read about here, so I tried it on a Fusion 5...it worked and really helped a lot. Good trick!
