My future in-Laws were cooler than I thought...explaining the story behind it was the fun part!

Looks good YOSP
-
Thanks brother...any ideas beside "el naturale" sun to get the white out, or will it blend in in time
-
Looks very sly, brother!
Man...more and more I notice a lot of "Mr. Clean" sly brothers around here...
Looks like yet another sly trend! 8)
Looks very cool though!

Thanks B.A.
It feels good to join the brotherhood!

Congratulations, looks good and I am sure feels good to.

Koaa2...thanks, feels liberating

Welcome to the SLY slide, YOSP. It is pretty friggin' liberating.
As far as sun on the noggin goes, since you dome hasn't seen sun in...oh, I don't know....FOREVER, I'd recommend putting on something with a slightly less SPF factor maybe 15, to let some color come through. As the weather starts improving, go to 30. It'll come in gradually.
Again, welcome.
Cheers!

Looks good bro! O:O

O0 looks good man

YOSP,
Lookin' good. I'm glad the future in-laws didn't flip out. I would agree with Schro that SPF 15 would probably be ok, but just not for too long. Nothing hurts worse than a burnt head; plus, then you can't shave your gleaming new dome, unless you're into torture.
-
O0 You look very good. Stick with it. And let us know your shaving techniques. Professor Melon

Thanks for all the great feedback...this is a great site to be a part of. It makes it easier when others can relate.
-
Yeah, YOSP....the look is very natural for you....fits you all the way, man O0
-
Awesome look there YOSP definitely fit the sly lifestyle
-
Looks good bro

Very sly! Give some time for your head to get some color. Like Schro said, you don't want to get burned.

Yosp, I "blended" my scalp this weekend (friday was my first shave) by doing yardwork saturday for about 2 hours with some coppertone dryoil spf 10. I rotated every 20 minutes with a hat on/off. After that I retired from the yard- cause I accomplished my sunning- and then washed, conditioned and applied some 35spf on before heading out again. It did dull the bright white enough to let the rest blend naturally and no burn. I wouldn't advise doing this longer than 2 hours of rotation.
PS... The oil did give a slight sting when first applied :o but the hat slide on with ease after!!

Looks great! My in-laws saw mine for the first time this past weekend. They didn't say anything. I wasn't sure if I should take that as good or bad?

I always preferred when people didn't say anything. I never liked making a huge deal out of it.

YOSP...looks great on you...congratulations on making the move.
Have been shaving just over a week and am still working on the color without getting a burn. Have been happy with HeadShade by the Head Blade people (SPF 15).
-
YOSP..your another sly NATURAL...congrats on the great move O0

Thanks again brothers...
I did manage to get some headblade products, the headblade is definitely tough to get used to...I prefer the mach 3 right now. I have been using the Headshed and Clearhead, and they work pretty good.
Used the Touch of Sun from Olay and did get some color from after the first use...will continue to use and update. But then again, I am so friggin' pale, I could probably get color standing under a lamp.
-
I cannot believe you wore a piece, you suit the look down to the ground.
-
My insecurities actually caused me to go that route, me confidence has steered me in SLY direction. Its easier to take the jokes about the shaved head, then the ones about having a "piece" that will only having people trying to figure it out by constant looking at your hair instead of looking you in your eyes.

Don't give up so easily on the Headblade. I think too many people try it once or twice and then decide to chunk it. I took to it right away for some reason - lucky I guess. I feel it is an extreme time saver for me, and I doubt that I would be shaving every day if I didn't have it. Anyway, that's my $.02.

Ditto. It took me a couple of shaves to get used to it. I now think it is the greatest thing in the world. In fact, I am sporting a Headblade watch, I am so happy with the company.

Going SLY definately suits you, looks great! O0 Concur with the Headblade input Stew and GBORN gave you...I can't imagine not using mine now! 8)
