Title: best shave to date!!!
Post by: badguy1971 on August 22, 2011, 10:07:57 PM
So... I've been sly for a few months, I figured I got the routine all down. Not so, not so at all...

Started off well, no issues at all, things were fantastic. Then all of a sudden about 2-3 weeks ago I developed ALOT of nasty red bumps on the back of my neck.
Not only do they look gross, they kinda hurt. I chalked it up to sweat (summer etc) and increased my wash routine etc... the other day I read that glycerine soap is supposed to be good, non-clogging etc. I happened to notice some pears glycerine soap at the grocery today so i got some.

Tonight I thought wow this soap is pretty slippery, im going to try and shave with it... so I rubbed it on my head for about 30 seconds and started shaving... M5 glided right over my dome without complaint, and i feel like it really "dug" down and gave me a closer shave. I often feel like my razor sort of "rides" on top of the shave gel and that prevents it from getting close.

Anyways enough of my long windedness... bottom line is Pears Glycerine soap gave me the best shave I've had to date. I was so impressed that I had to tell all and I'm still in my towel as I type this LOL.

Awesome to hear, I'm always looking to improve my shave game! Think I'll give it a whirl right now actually...

Pear's soap is great for washing, but I'll have to give it a try for shaving. By the way, you can sometimes find Pear's at different dollar stores at a deep discount to the chains like Walgreen's.

I will second that motion  O0

Best shave to date, aaaaaaand it took care of this recent issue i've been having with razor burn on the temple areas.  Thank you for sharing!

Also... ya'll should check out this burt's bees body butter, it really soothes any irritation and gets absorbed nicely (pretty decent shine). It does smell like honey for a few minutes tho... http://www.burtsbees.com/natural-products/body-moisturizers/thoroughly-therapeutic-honey-shea-butter-body-butter.html

Fantastic!!! I'm glad it worked well for you!

I'll check out that bee stuff, I'm looking for a good moisturiser.
