I have been shaving my head for two months and following all the advice on this forum to prevent treat small red bumps that I could never get rid of. Went to dermatologist and was told I had a bacterial infection and was prescribed antibiotics. Cleared it up in a few days.

Glad to hear the problem is solved.

Glad that you sought medical advice.

Keep that blade clean, a little alcohol before shaving and after kills the bacteria.I use a Q tip dipped in alcohol.

Gregwyatt, thanks for the tip on the bacterial infection. I am glad to hear that it cleared up for You.
Magoo, thanks for the tip on using the alcohol on the blade. That is a good thing to know.

I sanitize my blades with a 3to1 mix of peroxide (3) to alcohol (1) in a $0.97 spray bottle from Walmart. I spray the blades, shake off the excess, and put the razor in the stand to air dry.

I've been looking for a small spray bottle, thanks for the Walmart idea.
