Title: New... Need help with smooth bald look
Post by: n_granados on July 29, 2011, 07:33:05 PM
Hey guys im new to the site... i enjoy the bald feeling.. very refreshing.. I just wanted some tips on how to get that real smooth shiny look. I have tried many many different razors and none seem to get rid of the stubble. I have recently bought the HEADBLADE and it works great but still minor stubble there... I tried shaving different ways such as agaisnt the grain and with the grain.. against the grain seems to help but still a little stubble left.. Will stubble be there no matter what or is it possible to remove? Any advice?

It just takes practice and testing different razors. I find with using just regular unscented soap, I was able to get all the stubble off my head the first time, but my shave wasn't too shiny. With using Barbasol shaving cream, I find my shave is super super shiny and I enjoy that look a lot, yet it takes me a few passes to make sure all the stubble is gone.

Try differeent blades with the HB. I've found that the triples it comes with don't do well for me. Try sensor excel doubles or Atra doubles.

Hi n,
I use the edge soothing ale shave gel and a Fusion razor to shave.  After shaving try this.  Get yourself a Buf Puf, Walgreens sells a package of two of their own brand and then some Axe body wash.  After you get done shaving your dome, apply a bit of Axe body wash to your scalp.  I've used both Axe Rise and Revitalizing.  Get your Buf Puf wet and scrub your scalp in all directions for a few minutes.  Rinse with cold water and then blot it dry with a dry wash cloth or towel, don't rub it dry, blot.  It gives me the most amazing shine that I've ever had.  Hope it works for you!!
