Title: John Edwards
Post by: Razor X on April 20, 2007, 08:24:30 PM
I realize that this is a politics-free zone, so I hope that I'm not violating any rules, since the sole purpose of this post is not to make a political statement of any kind, but to ask how any man can spend $400 on a haircut?  Get this guy a HeadBlade!!

Actually, my first thought when I heard about the $400 haircuts was that the money was going somewhere else, and haircuts were a coverup excuse on the expense report.  I dunno, I just can't imagine any barber charging $400 for his haircut. :) But I could be wrong.

The political race has started so early this time that I've already tuned it out (I'm more of a libertarian guy anyway).  I think that's going to be a disadvantage for Hillary and Obama because they're getting so much media coverage now that people will be sick of them by the time the '08 elections roll around, and guys like Giuliani will seem "fresh" despite being in the race for the same length of time.

Remember back in the '90s when none of the incoming flights to LAX could land because Clinton was on the runway in Air Force One getting a $200 haircut from one of the stylists to the stars?

I also heard on the news this morning that some of the Hollywood stars pay up to $800 for a haircut.  Unreal, isn't it?

$400 for a haircut?  Wonder how he would spend my tax dollars?

There is a stylist in NYC who charges $800 for a cut. I do not believe she has male clients however. The wife of a close friend of mine is the executive assistant to the chairman of one of the worlds largest brokerage houses. His new  apartment  costs $27,000,000. Its relative isn't it?

If spending $400 for a haircut is any indication, I really don't want to know what "the fetus whisperer" would do with my tax dollars.

Why not ask him when he stays at your place for his California tour?

I could do a lot more than just buy an apartment for that kinda cash.

Edwards has got a better chance of seeing God than receiving an invite to stay at my house. Then again, he has probably spoken to God in many of his acts as a class action claims lawyer.

I don't know if anyone here has seen Penn & Teller's "Bullsh*t!" on Showtime.  In one of their episodes, they had one identical twin get an expensive feng shui haircut and the other identical twin get a regular haircut, and nobody could tell the difference.  But I guess if the stylist is quite good and her clients are happy with what they get for the price, I haven't got a problem with it.  I just hope the cutting scissors are plated with gold. ;)

I guess a haircut is worth whatever you can get for it.
If someone is willing to pay $400, then it's a $400 haircut.

I do like the Penn & Teller story...good one.

"fetus whisperer"

What is a "fetus whisperer" ?

In cases dealing with abortion rights, during his closing arguments, Edwards claimed fetuses talked to him in the womb, telling him that they knew the moms were going to have an abortion. A horse whisperer supposedly can talk to a horse...hence the term fetus whisperer.

That Edwards....what a guy.  !*u%e

This is what the two-party, image-focused, marketing-driven political machine has turned our presidential candidates into. I don't expect any different out of any other candidate either.
