Title: Everybody is loving it!
Post by: kayaker on July 12, 2011, 09:22:15 AM: Shaved my head a week ago. For thirty years I had long hair, and it was time for a change. So far, after the shock wears off, people are into it. Once they realize that I am bald by choice now (not receiving chemo) they like it.

The weirdest reaction so far was at work. A couple I've known for a long time were in the office and the woman screamed! She then left the building. Her husband explained that she had a long-term crush on me. The only thing was she didn't like my long hair. She told him a few times that if I were bald I'd be irresistible. Kind of freaky hearing that!

Kind of freaky for you to hear that or kinda freaky to hear it from her husband? I hope he's not your boss, otherwise you might be searching for other employment soon.

My hair was always thin and was thinning, but no bald areas. From what her husband said, she was just attracted to bald guys in general.

Just a strange situation. He isn't my boss. I'm a veterinarian, they are long time clients.

This has been an unusual week - three women (two at work and a neighbor) have told me that I look really good with a shaved head! Strange part is that all three have seen me regularly for the past two months and have not mentioned it.
