Title: Shaved my dome a week ago!

Well, my girlfriend was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a very early diagnosis, but she is the healthy one in the relationship, so it was a huge shock. She was showing me the different hats she would wear when she lost her hair to chemotherapy, and I made a decision to join her.

I am 53 years old. For the last 30 years I have just combed my hair back and made a ponytail. When the tail got really long, I'd use kitchen shears to take off some length. Shaving was going to be strange.

Then, my gf found out that she would not need chemo.  :D  But, I'd really worked on psyching myself up to shave the head so I did, and I love it!!!!!!

I can't believe you only shaved a week ago, you have a great routine and everything else, you look great. The beard really works well with the bald head.

Welcome kayaker, nice to hear you stuck with your plan. Good to hear all is well with your girlfriend.
