hi guys been shaving the dome for a while now and it was only the other day that i noticed how "fast" i have acctually got doing the head and face, So i timed myself i now shave my head and face in 7 minutes dead!
Just wondering how long does it take you to shave?
-
Mine's the reverse. I'm a perfectionist by nature, and believe that anything worth doing is worth doing well. Unfortunately that means I started out at about 30 minutes, but now it takes me AN HOUR each day.
-
Head and beard take me about 15 minutes, sometimes a little longer. I'm becoming more fanatical about being very smooth, so I go back over with my hand to feel for stray patches. At first it took longer and I experimented with different ways to get a close shave, now I've settled into a routine. Not sure that I'll get any faster, though.

lees then 5 minutes with the headblade
-
Six to Eight minutes and that's if I'm mowing down every follicle plus that includes my face.
-
Roughly 5-7 minutes for the head, add an extra 2 for the face. It's amazing how fast you become after doing it for a while.
-
Including prep, head and face, 10 min in the shower.
-
A leisurely 30 minutes.
-
about 10 minutes average i usually do 1 pass with the "grain" and 1 against.
-
7 minutes, post shower, about right IMO and experience.
-
Finally down to around 30 minutes for 2 passes + face shave! 8)
Mind you, I'm OCD about the smoothness and I don't rush through.
-
Anywhere from 10 to about 17 minutes...
-
Pre Headblade head and face 30+ minutes; post Headblade head and face 15-20 minutes. I shave with the grain then against then use my hands as a guide for ANY "sandpaper".
-
Face and head: anywhere between 15 and 20 minutes.
-
it depends on how long it has been from my previous shave: 15 minutes if it is two days...up to half an hour if i left it for nearly a week O0
-
How long is a function of two things, panic and necessity. If I've got all the time, then my shower/shave combo can take a leisurely half an hour. And that includes washing my teeth and using a pumice stone on my calluses. Panic and necessity can drive that down to four minutes, and under those circumstances, I don't even bother with lather, wet works and I can shave with one hand and wash with the other and, later, when I'm almost late but still in my car and on my way I can apply alcohol and bandages as necessary.
-
I've got it down to around seven minutes for the head and face. Not being as obsessive as I used to be about not missing a hair. I'm experiencing a lot less irritation because of it.
-
Face & head about 20 minutes for a no stubble sandpaper feel on both 😄
-
I do the face and head in 5 to 7 minutes...wet or dry.
-
I usually have my weekly head shave with my regular barber, with all the pampering, the process takes at least an hour. If I need or want to shave at home, with 3days stubble, I can be smooth in 15min, add that to the 7min of shower, the whole process takes 22min, average.
-
20-30 minutes. I use the Conair Cleanhead the touch up the sides with a 5 bladed razor. I'm all about SUPER smoothness though.
-
just found the topic. sorry for the late reply!
It takes me around 10-15 mins. depends on how tired am I.
-
Well if you include the shower, the prepping in the shower, the prepping out of the shower, then the shave at the sink, and the post shave; it takes about 30 minutes. What can I say? I like my dome to be smooth.
-
I've never shaved in the shower, though I will try someday. It takes me 20-30 minutes depending on what kind of facial hair (if any) that I keep
-
about 5 to 7 minutes in the shower. clean up is easier in the shower than at the sink. I'm not as OCD about it as much as I use to be either, and i agree with Rober61 about less irritation (and less risk of that occassional nick!) . though King of Shave oil as the first prep with shaving gel on top has really just about elminiated the irritation.
-
5 minutes max for me
-
10-12 min face and head.
