I went sly (bald by choice) this morning and I have no regrets.

Thanks for the very informative website and forum community. I managed to avoid the usual mistakes for first-time shavers.

Welcome DumbOx.  I've been in Houston in the summer and you definitely made a good choice.  But I think you will find that after being sly for the summer you won't want to go back.
