Title: Head not taking color
Post by: nicbvd on June 21, 2011, 09:32:46 AM
Hi everybody, I've just subscribed.
In the last couple of years I've been coming to the bald side by spring/summer and back in the winter. Generally I shave every day with and against the grain, if I have the time even twice the same day. I'm satisfied with how the skin of my head feels (smooth as silk), but not completely with how it looks: first I can see the inner of the hair underskin that gives the head a sandy look if you watch from closer, second the stubble show up just after 8 hours...hideous. The thing that I dislike the most, however, is that the skin of my head doesn't absolutely want to take some tanning: it's *much* clearer than the skin of the rest of the body, although i try to pass as much time as possible in the sun.
I'm beginning to wonder if my daily shave has a kind of esfoliating effect on the head... undoing by shaving what the sun may have done the previous day.

I'd like to get a bald head like that of people that are naturally bald, with the same regular color and look all over the head. I hope I won't have to wait until I'm 70... in particular because my genetic doesn't seem to be inclined to second me.

Thanks for any advice.

I experience the same problem during the summer.  My forehead and the top of my head gets tanned but the sides stay white, even if I put sun block on top and nothing on the sides.  I recently bought some jergens tanning lotion, will give that a try soon.  What have you done so far?

I would be interested in some input on this thread, as well.
