Title: Closet bald guy comes out
Post by: The Urban Cowboy on May 15, 2011, 03:21:56 PM
Hey everyone! I have been wanting to go bald for quite a while, and recently decided to go for it. Shaved my head with clippers last weekend, shaved with a razor yesterday, and used an electric razor today.

I came about this place in my research for an electric that would do the job, and have been lurking ever since.

Great place, here, with a lot of resources.

Purchased a Panasonic ES-8228S, basically because I like the fact it came with a cleaner, and that it was a three blade...I figured the four blade might be awkward.

I can't tell you how right on people were on their reviews of the Panasonic's. I definitely will be using mine a lot!

Now, if I can only get my q-tip white head to match the rest of my color I'll be doing good.

Just wanted to say howdy, and let ya'll know that the information found here is awesome!

Outstanding & Welcome, Urban Cowboy!

I know everyone has personal preferences, but I'm curious why not a blade?

Thanks, I tried the blade, and probably because I'm new at this, it took me a long time. I figured with an electric, it would be a faster process for me.

Once my head toughens up, I'll be using a blade more and more though.

Welcome.  An electric will not save you much time at all.  I have used both and still use an electric, every once in a while.  It really doesn't save me any time.  You will get better at using a blade.  Try the Headblade.  That is the fastest and best for me.

Looks like a great unit!  Congrats on your decision!

Congratulations and may I say the look particularly suits you. Using a blade is just a process. Rather quickly you'll wonder why it was ever difficult. Welcome!

Welcome to the forum. Give the blade a try, especially the HeadBlade as bem said. Nothing gets you smoother than a blade.
