Title: That in between time...
Post by: Arnie on May 09, 2011, 08:11:48 PM
I just shaved my goatee last week and am just letting my full beard now grow out.

What I noticed the last time I shaved my goat and this time...is that during that initial growth, my chin seems to break out more than any time like when I keep it shaved and after substantial growth has occurred.

Anyone else ever have to deal with this?

Yes. My scalp also tends to break out if I don’t shave for a few days.

I think a lot of guys have trouble with that in between time. Between clean shaved and a month's worth of growth.

My beard is seasonal, Oct through spring every year. Same problem here - the first day or 2 post shave everything is fine and then I have a few days of problems.  Have always thought it was from  the skin getting tender under the shrubbery.  And it can also be largely due to follicles sort of closing over the pores etc

Seems to go away on its own

So far so good this time...my skin is still a little off, but the time before ended with me having to get some triple antibiotic ointment...

I don't let the beard grow any more, its either a goatee, nub under my lip or nothing but clean face and head.
