Title: Growing a Beard?
Post by: BaldNSad on May 02, 2011, 11:23:51 AM
Hey guys, just joined and this is my first post. I just turned 18, and I've been losing my hair since I was around 16 1/2. The hair on the scalp has gotten really bad, so I am often shaving my head every 2 days to the skin. I really would like a beard for my hairless head, but I can't even grow hair on my chin, above my mouth, etc..

So, is there anything I can take to grow hair, as in a beard? I've given up growing hair on my scalp.

Thank You,

BaldNSad

Wow, I've never seen an 18 year old kid that bears such a resemblance to David Letterman.

I am not aware of any product for promoting beard growth.

That's a better pic.

awwww man. Ever since I've lost my hair, I've been thouroughly depressed. Girls don't look at me when I walk through the hallways, I don't even think I'm going to prom!

One day it'll grow ... and you'll have to shave. (https://www.slybaldguys.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Ffreeemoticonsandsmileys.com%2F3D%2520Smileys%2F3D%2520People%2520Smileys%2Fshawing%2520beard.gif&hash=d625ebc0575b46abd52c250ae3c887b47939cb73)

This man speaks the truth.  Listen to what he said my friend.  It's really as simple as that.

Try one, then shave it. Wait two or three years and try again. Based on your age, it's possible that what you'll grow now and in the future may be somewhat different. Also remember that the colour of your beard may very from place to place. I once grew a beard, when I was fifty, and the finished product, while full, looked rather like a multi-colored animal was clinging to my chin and face. Months to grow, minutes to remove.

Like everyone else has said, you look great sly, with or without a beard. But you need to believe this yourself. Stop looking at it from an I am young and bald perspective, and start owning the look. As has been mentioned, confidence is more important than anything else.

I say this often to the young guys that are having trouble with the ladies - read The Game by Neil Strauss

Worry not!  You wear it very well... BTW women love bald dudes, girls haven't learned to appreciate it!   :/O

I also started balding early, (about 17.5) but was truly free when I decided to shave and didn't have to suffer with hats and sorry attempts at styling my hair.  Be proud of your bald head!
