After some trepidation, I've started school again. I figured I'm not getting any younger, and I want to grab what gusto there is, so here I go. This time it's the big one: a Doctorate in Management. The program is a combination of on-line and resident symposiums and lots of writing - lots. The resident portion is 5 days twice a year; with day 1 starting tomorrow morning. The course load is over a 3 year 4 month period of time. From what I've read in the class intro forum, I'm probably the "old guy" in class. It should be interesting relearning how to write. It's been about 10 years since I was in a classroom. I have found that I am very succinct in my writing; which isn't necessarily good if the assignment is X number of pages and I've completed my input in half of the required number. I'll continue to check in on occasion. Well, here goes! Cowabunga dudes!

Good for you. O0 Best of luck.

Well done - learning never ends, and it's good to do something focused and constructive. I've been a "support" and shoulder to colleagues who've tackled their doctorates (as the going does get a bit rough), but have resisted launching into one myself. Keep us updated.

In professional school it's not about the length of the paper, but the content. So you should do just fine.
