I believe some guys use olive oil in their shaves, never heard of anyone using for gloss but that doesn't mean it wouldn't work. Headblade's Headlube Gloss is very good but it's tough to find in a store in most areas - you need to order it from Headblade or via Amazon.  I've had great results from Africa's Best Ultimate Herbal Oil -pretty cheap at Walmart in the black men's grooming section.  Another thing that works well is a good grade of aloe vera gel - I believe Fruit of the Earth is the brand most guys are using.  Have also been told that any of the Bannana Boat sunblocks with dri-block in them do a good job too.

I've only been sly goin on 7 weeks and what I have seen is that as the time has goenby I have developed a stronger shine with no products added.  Guess that repeatedly scrapingdown the dome helps to build the natural shine as your skin begins to adapt to being naked.

I have used Olive Oil.  It's also good for your scalp. I mainly use it to store razors to keep them sharper longer. If you want shine with out the greasy feel I have noticed that there is something in Headslick shaving cream that makes your head shinier than other creams.

Hadn't thought about this!  Do most sly go shiny or matte?  Let me know - I'm going sly in the next few weeks.  Thanks.

I've had success with rubbing an ice cube on my head after shaving, blot it a bit and let it dry.  Apply a bit of Witch Hazel, let it dry then apply a bit of Africa's Best Herbal Oil, let it soak in and then a generous amount of Aloe Vera Gel.   O0

I went from a short buzz to sly 3 months ago.  At first, I would rinse my mead in very cold water after shaving and finish up with witch hazel.  This gave me a great shine.

After 3 months of shaving, my head shines naturally without any help.   If I'm going to be out in the sun, I use Banana Boat clear liquid sunscreen which makes it shime even more.  Love that shine.

For the ultimate shine use dr organics double strenth aloe vera gell. this product gives a way better shine than headblade glossy and is better for the dome, this is the best product by far. O0 O0 O0

Got a great shine today!   After shaving I rinsed with cold water and blotted it then I rubbed an ice cube over it, blotted it and let it air dry.  After about 5 minutes of air drying, I applied a good amount of Witch Hazel to it and let it air dry.  I do believe this is the best shine I've ever had and my skin is so tight, I can feel it when I turn my head one way or the other.  Not sure if it will work for everyone, but I'm hooked and I can't stop going to a mirror to look at it.   O0
