Title: conair vs razor
Post by: ecology75 on March 06, 2011, 11:43:18 AM
hi after reading some of the previous posts , i have decided i may want to purchase the conair clean head , at the moment i am using the wahl balding clipper and i exprience a close shaved head
so my question is that using the chrome cleanhead would this give me as close a look as the wahl balding clipper or a blade such as the gilete fusion

thanks

Without using the attachments, the Conair Cleanhead will be closer to a razor shave.

But nothing is the same as a razor shave.

I own a Cleanhead and have posted my thoughts  on it.  I am impressed with the unit but I am a true fan of bladeshave slick.  The Cleanhead does a good job but it is not a substitute for a bladeshave - you don;t get the smooth shiny slick though it probably comes closer than any other electric on the market.  My reason for having the unit is that I travel and sail a decent amount so it will not always be convenient/practical for me to do a bladeshave.  In those situations, or for a fast touch up, the Cleanhead will be great for me.

If you are after the look, but not the shiny, slick feel, you will likely be very happy using the Cleanhead instead of a razor on a daily basis.  As for me, the Cleanhead is a compromise for when I don't have the facilities/space/water to get what I prefer - a bladeshave.

Ditto. My preference is my HeadBlade, but the CleanHead comes in very handy at times.

As the others have stated, the CLEANHEAD is a great alternative when a blade shave is not possible, but you still desire the appearance of a just shaved dome.

See the CleanHead in action here: http://www.iknowheads.com

After the intro, click on the "HOW TO USE" link to view the various shaving modes of the unit - both with attachments and with no guard at all.

As mentioned, the CleanHead will deliver a close "shadow" shave, but NOT completely smooth like you can get with a razor.

But I absolutely love mine, as a secondary means of keeping the melon happy.  (https://www.slybaldguys.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi186.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fx44%2Fhelloworld188%2Fsmiley.jpg&hash=4176b695efa7072fa854cf4dac1192544de14834)
