Georgia's weather is nuts.  We've had more snowfall this year than any other time in my life just 3-4 weeks ago, and the past few days we've had high temps of upper 60s-low 70s.  Wtf.

in RI we were getting our first glimpses of open ground since Christmas.  then we got another couple inches today.  after what we've had this winter a couple of inches doesn't even count.  there was a report on tonight's news that some sections of the state have had in excess of 80 inches already - and we've got another month to go...

I've lived here my whole life and don't remember a winter like this.

This has been an awful winter for so many. We had more snow than usual altho nothing like you guys. What was unusual for here was the prolonge spell of freezing temps. We had weeks of as low as -25 overnight in some parts of Scotland and even where I am it was colder than -10. And we are on the gulf stream which is supposed to keep us mild. Crazy stuff!

Is it possible " Global Warming "  has anything to do with this ? ?   :-\

Global warming doesn't act on scales that are noticeable by individuals reading the temperature. What matters is broad climate trends. If the average global temperature rises 2 degrees, you're not going to notice. But this would have serious consequences for sea levels, desertification, salinization of the water supply, etc.

Hey, now don't go picking on that cute little groundhog.  :Xo!
I think he said it was going to be a mild winter/spring, or something.  :/O
He could be mistaken, or that guy with the top hat misunderstood the furry little guy. ;)

I'm still waiting for our spring snow- the time when we get the majority of our snow while other people are getting rain; you know March and April.  ;D
According to the Farmer's Almanac (and it's never wrong) my last day for a hard frost should be "around" May 15th  :Xo!  (Sure can make for a short growing season; especially things like tomatoes.  About the time they are ripe, it's time for Fall frost!  :D

I am not convinced on the whole global wrming theory.

From where I am sitting (and the position of my bank balance) I cant help feeling it is just another excuse for the politicians (and I mean no particular party in this. They are all pretty disgusting to me at the moment) to dredge in more taxes.

Global Warming.

No, no, no -- it's 'Climate Change.'  When you have record snows, record low temperatures, and glaciers that are actually growing, you change the story.  They have it right now, because where I live, we have 'Climate Change' every day because almost every day is different... BRILLIANT.  Don't forget about the warnings of the coming Ice Age in the 70's... same people, different catastrophe.   $c#m

This morning in Seattle I had 3 inches of fresh snow on my car.  But I got to the Starbucks near work with no problem!  Also, the fresh snow on my freshly shaved noggin felt good for a minute!

The fun part is the daytime melt and the nighttime refreeze.

Somebody is cashing in on the whole matter. It's like there is no rhyme or reason.  I got upset the other day when I heard the market was worried about Libya's oil export.  So I went on-line and started looking at websites about countries of the world and oil production and Libya is like #16th in the world.  In terms of the U.S. consumption and where all of our imports come from Libya is barely on the proverbial radar.  But, some folks are "afraid" of things getting out of hand elsewhere, so that is reason enough to jack the prices up (just because).  :Xo!  Time to tune up my bicycle again.  :o  Maybe I can change MY climate.  ::)
