Title: White spots on scalp
Post by: vettordan on February 11, 2011, 02:57:22 PM
Hello guys

After trying concealers, rugs, meds and combovers, i finally decided to shave it off hoping that i would feel liberated. it felt really nice. However, i have noticed that there are little white spots in most places of my scalp and i am starting to freak out. Is this supposed to be normal? are your scalps completely of one colour. i have noticed different shades in different areas of my scalp with some spots here and there..Please give me some advice guys. I dont want to wear rugs all me life

When you first shave the scalp will be uneven in color  but it will soon even up. Some guys use a self tanner  but I never tried any. Getting some sun and weather sure helps. Give it some time , and no scalp is perfect.

Post up a pic so we can see what you are referring to.

..and how large of a spots(s) are we talking about here?

I know sometimes when I would either cut myself, or have a bad ingrown hair issue, a small white spot would form where the infected "hair" was, and (after healing) fade away with time!

But more than likely, the mystery was solved with Magoo's answer!
