Hi peeps.
Just thought I would share with you what works for me in the clothing department when I head out somewhere.
It's easy for us to become lazy and not look our best when we go out even just up to a local mall or something, then when you get there you seem to become self concious of what you're "not" wearing and your confidence goes down a little (Well this happens for me anyways)
I have tried numerous fashion trends to try to wear clothes that fit in with my bald dome, and the one constant I keep coming back to is ..........BLACK.
This colour looks really good on me, and have noticed that it looks really good on other bald men I see around. I tend to wear long sleeved black buttoned up shirts with my sleeves rolled up and just any sort of pants seem to go really good with this look. While im wearing black long sleeved collared shirts I seem to just have an abundance of confidence walking through malls/work/going out with friends and I have had compliments on this before.
I guess I started this thread because I know how hard some of us stress about how we look with no hair and I just wanted to start this to show you what worked for me and I'm sure this will work for alot of you too (My skin is not so tanned and the black doesn't really look so bad with it) Besides, I'ts all about how you wear your bald head isn't it????? You have to walk around confident, that way you seem to have this radience or energy where people seem to look at you as if your this awesome celebrity or something.
I guess what I'm saying is find something that suits you, find something you like and have that CONFIDENCE to wear it well with your bald dome and just be CONFIDENT, you'll be amazed at the reactions you'll get.

I don't think there's any one style that suits everybody who is sly. It depends upon so many other variables.
However, you are right about attire and confidence. If you know you look good, it's a big confidence boost.
SInce going sly, I've upgraded my wardrobe a notch or two.

I always used to like wearing tight(ish) black t-shirts but stopped mainly because of the head shaving. I figured that the contrast between my head and the shirt would make me look very pale. I opted more for greys.

I stopped wearing boots and old white or black shirts. I wear a collar and tie far more often. I can't dress as I used to because I really look like a skinhead. I am a gym addict and the look is too intimdating. Grown women call me sir. Not good.

Sly or not - I don't like to wear black clothes. Dark colors or greys are fine though.

When I'm sly, I wear a lot of black. It definitely gives off a coll bad-ass vibe. But I also love dressing up more when I'm sly - suit and tie with a shiny head is a great look.

IMO, Sly Men, having rejected society's norms of what looks good are empowered to clothe themselves in pretty much any manner that WE enjoy. If society doesn't like it or don't believe that it is "appropriate" that is society's problem.

The same clothes that every other man chooses to wear, regardless of hair or not.
It's a personal choice.

Oh, "clothes." What a bourgeois affectation! I just slather on some Vaseline and roll in dried leaves (raked and saved in the fall) when I need to appear in public and "decent." Otherwise, nothing between me and the solar spectrum but the atmosphere.

I dress the way I want to when I want to. But find darker clothing is nice. But anymore with the style , I usually wear jeans, and what ever shirt out , and sports coat, sweater, or pull over with zipper. ;D But it is all good , just do yourthing and fergetaboutit !

Well said! Whatever an individual feels like wearing is what looks good with a bald head. The only person who needs to approve of the way another individual is dressed is that individual himself (or herself).

Does it matter?..................it should not look any different on a bald person than it does on a person with hair. After all,if you put a 1,500 suit on a gorilla.........it is still a gorilla.

I disagree. For example, when I see a sharply-dressed sly guy, I think that he looks that much sharper with the sly head.

I agree 100%, the site of a suited guy with a shaved bald head is one of the best sights there is!!!

A suit and a shaved head is a great look. went to a wedding awhile back and there were quite a few of us giving each out the nod of approval!
I think another great look is just jeans, boots, and tshirt or carhartt sweatshirt. a 'regular' guy kind of look. see a lot of construction and utility guys with shaved heads and they look great with what they wear.

I still have the same wardrobe as before...
I still look exactly the same
Just dont have hair on my head.
I got two new pairs of glasses the week I shaved the old melon.

However just so you all know
I wear jeans.. all the time.
Blue ones, No black ones.
I wear tee shirts
and button up shirts (70s and 80s style ones)
It looks like Im straight out of the wonder years

My ex-girlfriend and best buddy is a painter, artist, and is well versed in color theory. She says matching clothes to a person is more about finding certain color shades that match your skin tone/eye color...it's difficult to explain, but if you're ever looking for a new wardrobe, track down an artist versed in color theory. Once you learn what colors compliment you, you'll be making much smarter wardrobe decisions and be saving money.
You should also look for a stylist who can identify your body type, especially if you're in the professional suits world.
Alternatively, if you're a straight guy, track down some gay men for fashion advice. I know it's a bit of a stereotype that gay men magically have a greater fashion sense, but coming fresh out of liberal arts college I can tell you, I've met gay dudes from bro to very feminine, and all of them gave me recommendations on what to wear that was very informative.
I have a broad chest, so I personally like to wear V-neck shirts that emphasize that. I also like polos and plaid/flannel button ups. Not a lot of bald guys look great in a standard collared t-shirt. You also don't want to be wearing clothes that is too "busy." You can pull that off with hair, but shirts that are monocrome or one color are better if you are shaving your head.
But let's take striped polo shirts, a very manly shirt to wear:
1) Horizontal stripes on a bigger guy will emphasis the fact that he's big, that's a no no. For a big dude, you want vertical stripes, and more medium width to the stripes, that will slim him down.
2) Horizontal stripes on a thinner/smaller guy will make him "fill out" and appear to fill his clothes better.
