Title: Alternatives to goatees?

Okay, I've done the bog standard "circle" goatee, the thin urban version with the connected sideburns, goatee without stache, etc. and I'm bored with it all. Seems to me that some sly guys are constantly changing their facial hair. I'd be one of those guys, but I'm just out of ideas.

Anyone got any ideas on good alternatives to goatees that go well with a shaved head?

I've had the exact same goatee for 8 years now. Occassionally I grow out the stache and get told look like Lucifer. Can you pull off the handle bar mustche? I mean the kind that comes all the way down to jaw? That's about the only idea I have. I suppose you could grow it really, really long like the dude from Anthrax.

Some of man's greatest ideas have come from the consumption of alcohol!!  :XX

But when the idea of shaving is ready to be put into action, I highly recommend sobering up first!! -LOL

On a more serious note, there are lots of threads on the SBG forum pertaining to Goatees.
Maybe you can get ideas from there. Check it out, if you haven't already done so.

Since I retired from the miltary 30 days ago.  I was accustomed to shaving daily but the goatee requires more maintenance so I am sticking with a soul patch like Howie Long.  Trying looking into a chin strip as well
