In one of the posts RazorX asked me about my shadow (since I have darker hair)...like I said to him most times it can go either way...
just took a bunch of Easter pics with my boy....
Looking , slick and really bald with no shadow...very sly!

Now, there's a head that should never have any hair on it! O0
-
Gotta love that!!
Great pic with your son!

Thanks Tyler and Razorx for the props!

Hell yeah, man! The look is fantastic on you! That's a nice shot, too. Your head looks shiny and smooth, but not a bit oily.

Cool , I take that as a huge compliment...I'm in awe of your non-shadowed dome dude...perfectly clean and slick, very nice!
Likewise, you're a natural for the skinned , sly look...it would be a real shame to cover that dome you got showin'!
Thanks for the props!

Great pic Andre. I find it very hard to get the shadow thing under control...and I don't have very dark hair. U must really work that blade on your dome to get it that slick and shadow free.
BTW, little Andre has some head of hair. You must have had a great Easter with that little guy!!

Naw, no extra work involved, just usually but shaving gel in before the shower, rinse that off, then reapply at the sink and do the deed....
and, yea, the little dude is the best....nothin' like starting a family at 40!!!!!

Yea, I get that all the time...ok, by me! My 40th is early this May. Having the slick dome is one of the closest things to the fountain of youth a dude can experience...
as I'm sure many here can concur! It's real good to be sly!

I was 27 when i got the ball(s) rolling on that. The way I figure it by the time i'm in my mid-late 40's the young lad should be out working and able to support me so I can retire early!

I turn 30 in June and our baby is due in Oct.

Wow! How times change. Bet you never thought in those days that you'd ever shave that mop off. I remember having a conversation like that back when I was in high school. I don't know why it even came up, but this guy in my class was saying that if he ever went bald he'd just shave his head. I remember thinking that he was crazy and couldn't imagine anybody doing something like that. I didn't know what fate had in store for me ... O:O

All these avatar pics with shades are starting to resemble a bald version of the Blues Brothers or something!! O:O

Great pics bro and the sly look definitely suits your dome. Are you saying you apply shaving gel before you shower and let it set on the dome before shaving at the sink?
-
. Are you saying you apply shaving gel before you shower and let it set on the dome before shaving at the sink?
Yea, I do the shaving cream thing while I'm shower...kinda like using a skin softning conditioner...rinse it off then reapply to shave at the sink...
some can say that is a waste, but it works for a closer shave for me...I do it about 80% of the time...
I guess I should look and see what other folks around here do and actually learn a way to an ultimate shave...
sometimes I just like to shoot the sh*t with other bald dudes...know what i'm sayin'?

Hardly, Bro. I also would have put Andre in the 25-30 yo range. Me? I'm tore up from the floor up. Recently I wore a mock turtleneck for golfing and my wife said I look like a Thumb! :*)) It ticked me off, but I got a good laugh from the comment.
-
Thanks for the props Schro and Lance...going Sly is the fountain of youth, that's for sure.
Now, what's so wrong with looking like a thumb?

Looking like a thumb is better than looking like a W.D.W.E.

Naw bro...if I were you I wouldn't change a thing. You look like you have a good routine going on. I was asking because I wanted some tips from you.

Dudes, trust me...30 is a whole lot better feeling and a cool place to be than your upper 20's.... it's a mental thing, but 30 is like when your new life starts and you're more in control of certain things....
I hope that's true for 40 my bald brothers!
-
Wow I thought you were late 20s rather than late 30s

See what a slick bald head can do for your looks....and you're on the fence about it...come on mate, do the deed and get to livin' your life brother!!!
Thanks again for the props!

40 is no big deal, at least it wasn't for me.
-
Actually, what the heck am I talking about? :/O I was a huge deal for me.
The lovely Mrs. Schro planned a nine hole golf tournament that included hitting tee shots off a bar stool, putting like you were using a pool cue, ladies having the option of throwing the ball rather than hitting it, and taking shots of tequila on the 8th tee. Plus, all my buddies provided me with various types of alcohol ... for medicinal use only, of course. It was a great day.
That was followed by my annual golf trip to Fall River with the guys, and then returned to fly to Maui the next day for a week with the family. So yeah, 40 was a big deal to me.

I am still looking for a way to avoid it.

40 was easy, it was hittin' 50 that was hard. Even went to Ireland because I was afraid there wasn't enough Guinness here to ease the pain.
