Title: Permanent hair removal
Post by: trc007 on November 13, 2010, 05:56:21 PM
I am new to the forum though I am 55 and have had my head shaved since I turned 50. The question is about removing hair permanently or discouraging regrowth! My African-American brothers at work use something like "Neat" that the women use on their legs! Is there anything "safe" and friendly to the noggin out there????? Thanks bald bros! TRC O0

Welcome to SBG.  The hair cremes don't work for a lot of guys, particularly white guys for whom it can cause some really serious problems.  At my gym even the AA guys seem to prefer the blade to the cremes.  Maybe someday as SBG style increases more than it is now they will develop a creme that recognizes the difference.  But for now, I really get a charge every morning scraping the grape, pealling the peach--that may just be me.

Nothing that I know of but would be nice to slap it on and rinse it off 5 minutes later and have a perfectly smooth head!   O0

I've tried a few creams, but with no luck, just an intense burning sensation >:(  I've been shaving for 12 years now and am getting serious about a permanent solution as well...

I'd stick to the shaving option.

Stay away from that crap. It's like using battery acid on your head.

I second that, you don't want any of that stuff near your scalp. Stick with a blade shave. Nothing gets you smoother.

Would be nice if it worked without inducing a possible keloid scar

5 minutes is all takes to have a satisfying shave, though.

Creams/depilatories...The second biggest waste of your money, IMO

This research was in the mail yesterday no doubt funded by cousins in the US but going on in the UK, they would make a killing if its any good ,but so I far agree withSir Harry

Think you should work with what nature has given you. Not find a permanent man made medical/lotion solution.

By shaving clean, you're telling everyone that you'd prefer to be bald. Many men shave near daily to keep their face clean of stubble. Shaving your head clean is a similar thing.
