In an attempt to be a little healthier overall, and having tried a few times to quit smoking with little success, I am thinking about switching to a "nicotine delivery system" such as this one : http://www.smokefreeonline.com/electronic-cigarette-gold-one.html
Have any of you used something like this to replace a smoking habit? if so, what were your results like? I'd be most interested to hear of any personal experiences.

what i can tell you is that they are a different beast and each person has different result and requirements to start out i will be glad to help you in any way kick your current beast. i have skype and such if we can ever be online at the same time i can walk you Thur some stuff some time thru live video feed.

I saw this ad on the web. Never been a smoker, but if I had been and was trying to cut back (or better yet-QUIT) this type of ad would definetely catch my eye! I've also seen kiosks in the local shopping malls selling this stuff, and I hear they do quite well!

Quitting is my goal - with the E-cigarette allowing me to wean myself off nicotine slowly, rather than cold turkey, which could result in y'all seeing me on the news after having "gone postal." I don't even like being around myself when I'm going through nicotine withdrawal.

i saw you did iron horse welcome to the E-cig side. Noodles that ad is most likely from smoke everywhere or similar big flashy site over priced stuff. kind of like shopping with HSN.

I dont personally use them but a good buddy has been trying to use them to quit smoking. He told me they help but not 100%. I personally dip snuff and the alternatives to snuff are horrible.

I know snuff is horrible but the alternatives for it taste way worse. It would be like an alcoholic drinking rubbing alcohol or mouth wash to stop drinking as far as taste comparison goes.

UPDATE:
After buying my e-cigarette (and educating myself at the aforementioned web site,) I allowed myself a few days to have a cigarette whenever I wanted one, until my cigarette supply dwindled to one unopened pack, at which point I switched over to the e-cigarette only.
That was about a week ago, now, and that last pack is still unopened. I've gone from a 1 1/2-2 pack a day smoker to a former smoker with zero desire for a cigarette. I wholeheartedly endorse the e-cigarette as a healthier alternative to smoking, at least, and hopefully a step to being entirely nicotine free!

I have smoked electronic cigarettes since they first came out. I have probably tried every type of electronic cigarette out there. I can write a novel on my knowledge on the subject, so I am not going to go into detail about the matter. (and for the people that have tried them and and had bad feedback, most of them used the wrong type... it took me a few years to find the right fit. There are NUMEROUS factors you need to look at when buying one. There are 100s of options.) I know that is a vague answer, but yes I have probably spend a few thousand dollars trying every shape size with basic functions to all the bells and whistles, and I have tried ALL types and flavors of the e-juice. I am an expert on the subject and know practically everything there is to know about the subject. Some don't work as well as the others. I found one that worked right and a smoker of 15 years a pack to a pack and a half a day is now smoke free.

Now i can tell you guys that i just threw away my electronic cigs and i am starting my a new life, nicotine free and hair free (sly). I never posted my story but i will soon. Good luck in quitting buddy :)
