I shave in the evening. Wash my head with shampoo with warm water, then to the sink. Apply gillette get all over. Shave with the gain. Reapply gel and go against the gain. Rinse with cold water. Then take aloe vera and apply two heavy coats. Head is so shiney that people at work were blinded by the light!!
Have a couple question for the more experience sly guy..
1. Does regular shaving cream (not gel) shave closer?
2. After 10 hours or so I feel stubble, is that normal?
3. Would shaving in the morning make a difference then shaving in the evening?
-
One persons opinion :
1. I don't think the type cream or gel makes as big a difference as the type razor.
2. After 10 hrs. stubble is normal.
3. Morning or evening only difference is when it will be smooth.

1 - What he says
2 - What he says
3 - What he says, so if you want it smooth longer, shave it Morning and Evening

I use a mach 3 razor. What razor do you recommend?
-
I think you have a good razor. I would encourage you to try a different shave cream, like BaldGuyz or Headslick. Canned goo, I have come to realize, is not really all that slick. I would also suggest you try shower shaving your head. With practice you will find it less mess and more productive. After your comfortable and get a routine that works for you, I'd recommend the Headblade as a razor. It is easier on the wrist and cheaper to use. Hope this helps O0

I'd recommend the HeadBlade, too. I've found it makes the job easier. I know that there are some who would disagree.

IMHO...no....yes....no.

To keep my melon as smooth as possible, I try my best to shave twice a day.
Once in the morning, and then again in the late evening when showering.
Overkill? Maybe. But twice daily keeps me Super Smooth. (https://www.slybaldguys.com/smf/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi734.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fww343%2FErinee24%2FSuper_hero.gif&hash=d09677fb101512a99174efbab4340ae452ab4b56)
And yes, the closeness of the shave depends upon the blade much more than your choice of a gel or cream shave.

For me it's Head Slick with a HeadBlade in the shower in the morning. O0

The headblade is the only weapon of choice for me teamed up with a sensor exel tripp, shaving oil, followed by shaving gel, i always shave in the shower, in the evening, every day, aqnd yes 10 hrs is about for the stubble :@`

Granted I've only been sly for a week now - my routine is to shave at night. Headblade seems to work well enough that can get me through the next day without feeling TOO much stubble
-
My Daily Routine-
- Shower with warm water and use exfoliant scrub on head
- Shower for warm water for a few minutes to rinse off scrub
- Apply Schick Hydro get to top of head
- Shave against the grain with Headblade
- Divide head into different sections, and apply gel only to the section I'm working on
- Put on both dandruff shampoo and1. Does regular shaving cream (not gel) shave closer? moisturizer shampooi and then rnse with cold water
- Wash head with antibacterial soap
I'm going to try and get some Headslick and some Nivea aftershave for sensitive skin (Sgt. Pate recommended), because Bald Guyz moisturizer seems to irritate my skin more than me shaving.
1. Does regular shaving cream (not gel) shave closer? Maybe, but Gel is a lot easier to shave with. Cream washes off a lot easier than get.
2. After 10 hours or so I feel stubble, is that normal? It's normal, it's like your heads "five o'clock shadow.
3. Would shaving in the morning make a difference then shaving in the evening? well if you shave in the morning you won't have stubble at work. Personally I shave in the morning, because I've always showered in the morning.

Have been using Mach III for years with a Gillette gel.
Have recently started to use the Headblade.
Both are good, but the Headblade gives me a closer shave.
One not,though:
When using the Headblade with a gel,the blade got clogged all the time, then I switched to cream.(Headslick)
Good luck,
Yohai.

Try using a shaving oil under the gell, i use king of shaves alpha antibacterial shave gell, this is in my opinion one of the best shave gells available, i have never had a clogged blade using this gell, unlike headslick which was always clogging the blade, i use sensor exell trips in my headblade and get ultra smooth shaves. :@` :@` :@`
