Hey guys, SBG was hacked last night. Thanks to Marsh and BaldWriterBob I was notified of this and was able to correct it. Basically they hacked every PHP file to make it redirect to a Malware site. To be safe, please run your anti-virus and spyware software to make sure you weren't affected!
Sorry for any inconvenience!!!
-
that would explain the unknown redirect i had last nite luckily it was stopped by my av software.
-
Well now I know why Norton blocked my access to the site!
-
Glad to hear things are fixed.
-
The site being hacked pissed me off. luckily I have great virus protection.

Tyler,
Glad to hear a response to my message to you! I know that my home computer has up to date anti virus and malware software. But I am hesitant to go to SBG at work as they don't update their software!
-
Friday night, upon 3 or 4 consecutive attempts to login, I kept getting the "Malicious Activity Detected- Visiting the site may harm your computer" message. I tried to notify Tyler on Facebook, but maybe that message never got through either.
But at least it was caught in time before doing any real damage!

How dreary and depressing must one's life be when they have to hack a headsahaving site...sheesh.
-
It's a business.
They use automatic scripts to manipulate any website they can get access to.
-
Some fun.
-
Personally, I think that why some people do these hack jobs is the feeling of power. Kind of like..."look at me! I have the power to f*&k up all these people's computers!". That may be the way they feel noteworthy.

Yep! This wasn't personal, just an automated script out of Russia to manipulate the open source software that I use.

Caused me a few problems, but all good again now O0

On the morning of 9/21/2010 (around 7am CST), I attempted to log into SBG and kept getting a repeated "Internal Server Error" message.
Thought it might be "Hack #2", or either the SBG site was actively in the repairing stage and that was the reason it would not allow me in.
Anybody else experience the same issue this morning?
Just wondering....

I had this problem for the entire morning..............
-
me too. Thought it might be to do with the previous hacking... ???
-
I had one attempt that was slowed down a bit, but other than that all was good (otherwise, I wouldn't be typing now).
-
The problem was cleared up by late morning.
-
Nice to know my protection works! No problem here. O0
-
The site was hacked again this morning. I caught it shortly after it happened and I think I've fixed the issue that allowed them to do it in the first place. Only time will tell.
-
So far, things are looking good. :x! :popo
-
It happened again!
Please be cautious, disabling Javascript in your browser prevents the malicious code from being executed.
-
I saw it today too. I immediately killed everything and ran my AVG... all clear.
-
Looks like my " Norton " is stopping whatever you` all are dealing with . . O0
-
Saw it pop up a few minutes (2:50 pm west coast) ago when I attempted to go to the site. Got in okay on the second try. :-\

Well, for me, when that sort of thing pops up, it's time to walk away, and come back another day. No sense trying to log on, trying to make it acknowledge that you are going to get in, no matter what. You know something is wrong, so let the powers in charge fix the thing, relax, look at the BB/FB/BB/Hockey scores, and come back another day.

What does the "hack" appear as on your computer? I'm not sure what to look for...
-
Ran AVG and it came back with an all clear

A fake Antivirus software message saying your computer is infected and you have to buy a removal tool.

Thanks!!! I thought I saw something yesterday, but I just figured I clicked a random link or ad...and it ended up locking up IE.

This should no longer be happening on SBG.
