Hey guys how long do your blades last? I shaving about every 2 days and it seems like each time I keep having more and more little stubbles. Is this due to my blade getting dull?
-
i usually shave until the little blue stripe(mach 3) or the white pad(generic atra on HB sport) is messed up. 3-4 shaves sometimes it varies.
-
I find that my second shave with a blade is usually better than my first. I get about 1 week or 6 to 7 shaves per blade.
-
I'm about the same ballpark as you T
-
Yea I am thinking it's time for a fresh blade

Same here. Occasionally I lose track of how long I've had one on, so I sometimes toss it early, sometimes late.
When I used generics on my Headblade, I would change them every three days (3 shaves).

I differ only in that the first shave is always the closest, smoothest shave. But otherwise, Ya, with the HeadBlade Trips I run em' till either the shave starts getting narlier, or untill the moisture strip (Green/white Strip) gets Narly. About 6-7 Shaves out of a Blade. 4-5 if not using HeadSlick or HeadShed, since using those the blade lifespan has gone up drasticly.

Yeah, same for me. I use the Sensor Excel blades and I run them about a week or 6-7 shaves, whichever comes first.
-
I've been able to go up to two weeks because my hair is soft. I start having to go over spots a few times, though. I aim for a week.

Pretty much what everyone else has said. I can usually squeeze a week out of my blades. I'm using the HeadBlade with either the Atra blades, or generics. That's another reason I have come to love the HeadBlade even more since I have given it another try is because of the life of the blades. Before I tried it out again a few weeks ago I had gone back to my old Mach 3. I noticed that I was only able to get about 2 good shaves out of the cartridges. Maybe 3 if I was lucky. That would have gotten very expensive. That's why after re-evaluating the expenses of the HB every month compared with a regular razor it's actually not bad at all as I thought before. The only thing I would ever need to order on line now is maybe a new adaptor. Everything else for the HeadBlade line I can get from my local store except for the HeadShed. But I use a different exfoliator to sub for that.

I typically shave every other day and change the blades on Friday (gotta be extra smooth for the weekends!) Even if I have to shave every day during the week, I still change the blades on Friday. I do notice that near the end of the week, the stubble does come in pretty quick though...

I've been SLY since New Year's. Wait, I'm supposed to change razor blades? M!55

I'm an everyday shaver and typically pop a new blade on every Monday. I'd say on average I go through one blade per week.
-
I shave every day with the HeadBlade trips and generally get 6-7 days per blade.
-
I've actually got pretty fine hair follicles, so I can usually get about 10 shaves out of each generic Atra blade I put on my HeadBlade.

I don't get much usage.. sometimes 4 shave of my mach3 turbo.. I 've got stiff hair. I've lots of hair to.. so makes the blades go by faster.

Has any one considered keeping a specific blade for the head and use another for the face? I know my whiskers could be used to take paint off. The hair is usualy a bit softer and that might extend the life of the blades a bit.

Thats what I hear alot doing, keeping the classic Razor such as the Mach 3 for their face and using the HeadBlade just for their head. It might work out because the hair on the top of my head is definatly alot more corse than the stuff growing out my face, I am lucky if after a week or two I have wiskers... :(
On another note, anyone heard of or tried one of those "Infinity Razors"? My Dad just got one of those, and I was curious.
