Title: Hey (I was never a good writer)
Post by: Eagle3212 on August 08, 2010, 05:44:40 PM: I joined the SLY online community several weeks ago and figured it was about time I made my new start official by posting an intro!!

I'm 22 and started noticing a generally thinning of my hair (especially in front) about two years ago. At first, I dismissed it as a symptom of stress from college etc., but the following summer I buzzed my head and so began my struggle with MPB.

Intially, I was upset and immediatly began researching hairloss remedies. That only made me feel worse when I saw the unflatering ways we (males suffering from MPB) were portayed in commercial campaigns for these "cures". The past year I spent my time basically obsessing over my hair loss promoting understandable feelings of insecurity.

Recently I began contemplating shaving my head based solely on the fact that I am a fit/muscular guy. That's when I found this site and I have to say, all the testimonies of you guys helped me come to terms with my hair. I recently shaved my head again (no guard, so practically no hair) and feel great!! I still have my struggles but this site is great resource and has helped through the first couple of weeks. I know eventually I'll be as SLY as the rest of you!! Thanks again!

Spent a lot of time worried about something "that don't add up to nothing" as Tom Petty says. You will find fantastic advice and support on this site. Great dudes on here. Happy you are with us and hope you find the happiness I have found since going SLY!! Welcome, brother.
