Need I say more?
All who use the HeadBlade should kneel at my feet so that I may instruct you in the proper use of this shaving implement.

Budda....you would be a good sales person for Head Blade ....NOT! :'(
-
Speed kills!
-
WE all learn the HARD WAY!
-
Thats why I like using a razor better, plus the headblade couldnt shave the hair by my ears or lower back of head/neck so I didn't see a point in using a headblade plus a razor when I could save money using just a razor.

Agree, but it's fun to try different gear.

What the heck dude?? My headblade works pretty well, I haven't gotten a single nick or cut yet!
You gotta be pressing down on it or something, or you have an unusually knobby head! ;D
(mine is pretty knobby, actually)
I find an electric works just fine around the ears, BTW.

When I get in too much of a hurry sometimes the skin comes off with the hair. This was one of those times.
I have to remember..... breathe in.....breathe out.

Got a machine head! It's better than the rest!
Sorry, couldn't resist. ;D

Are you sure you didn't get the Headblade mixed up with the vegetable peeler? ???
-
I've been noticing a bony ridge down the middle of my skull. Must be where my dorsal fin would have been. That's IT, I'm the missing link! Hazzah! Mystery solved!
-
Ouch!!!!!!
Oooo yeah!!!! Battle Wounds!!!
I think the last time I had one of those (no quite that bad) I was using
double blades back in the day.
-
Slow is fast....especially with the headblade.
-
All I can say is OUCH! :o
-
OUCH!
Nice pics..!! :o
Sorta glad I don't use the headblade, as I'm quite heavy handed...

Ya, can still get nice cuts tho. I was shaving one time and the skin somehow got caught inbetween the blades and pulled the skin up with it. Left two nice slices kinda looked like a cat scratched my head after it got done bleeding. ;D
-
Holy sheesk, man. What did you do to that HB to make it retaliate?
-
I decided to try this Nivea Shower, Shampoo, Shave stuff that I saw at Wally's. This stuff is really slick. I got the blade moving somewhat faster than normal so when it caught skin it just kept going. When I looked at the blade after the cut the skin was stuck in it. But I think it was the speed at which the blade was moving that allowed for so much skin removal. Had I been using HB HeadSlick it might have been just a cut.
-
I know these accidents too :D.
It's the combination oft high speed and low sharp blades.
I learned some blades want to eat your skin and drink your blood. Blades who do so are immediately changed!

Ouch, buddha! Nothing worse than taking some skin off the top. How long have you been using HeadBlade? You're probably right about speed being a factor. And if you have uneven areas on the top of your head, you might have put too much pressure down in an awkward place. I've been a HeadBlader for just about 6 years, and have nicked myself 4-5 times. I notice it happens when I use a different shave cream than I'm used to - my shaving pressure tends to change for some reason.
If you ever have any questions for us, feel free to email admin@headblade.com or call 877.427.2067 - we'll be happy to help you with any product issues.

Yo Buddha, sorta like the meat slicer at the corner deli.....LOL
-
Did you grab the HellBlade by mistake? ???
-
Yikes--I thought I wa sbad the first time I used HB--but that looks like it was worse!

I think you might have accidentally picked this up instead:

When you feel it dig in..................STOP!!!!!!!
-
@ Eric: It's not the fauly of the HeadBlade. I got over-confident in my ability and started going really fast. That, I think was the root of the problem. I've been using it 7-8 years with very few problems.
@ Tyler: Where did you get the pictures of my razor?
@ Koz: I woulda stopped by my brakes went out.

Thanks alot Tyler, Now the next time I peel potatoes a vision of Buddha's scalp may make a seemingly menial task, possibly unbearable .... Ohhh the humanity!! :o
-
I was at the deli today and the lady sliced off some pastrami....held it up and asked "This thin enough for ya?" I thought of this thread! :*))
Sorry Buddha.....heal quick and watch that spot for the next few days while you shave.

I will never view a pastrami sandwich in the same light again :o
-
How the hell did you do that? Was you going really fast and not paying attention?
That hurts my head looking at those pictures. Kinda the way it hurts a man to see another man get kicked in the nuts.
-
That hurts - - - - - even me
Give yourself enough time when you shave and do not press down
-
Don't feel too bad, brother. I tried the Headblade 3 times before giving up - each time I looked like an extra in a zombie movie - blood running down my face. I must just be too ham-handed for a HB. I'm only safe as long as I have 3 or more blades on the razor sliding across my scalp. :P
-
OUCH! Sorry about the collison between your scalp and HB!
-
Looks like you were doing 'wheelies' with that HB. It looks painful.

Looks like a close shave either way you look at it.

Been there (more than once).
Done that (more than once).
You would think I would've learned my lesson (but N-o-o-o-o-o-O...)

Here's to a speedy recovery, Bud!! dr!#k

I used to do that back in the days of the Two-Blade Classic Headblade. I gave up on the HB in 2007. When I went sly this time around, the Sport with 3 blades works for me just fine. Better than fine. The more I use it, the easier it gets.
-
It's painful looking at those pics. Ouch!
I've used the Head Blade now about 5 times. I'm new to shaving my head and new to Head Blade. I've been using electric for my face for the last 15 years, so I 'm out of practice shaving with any kind of razor. Luckily, I haven't even had so much as a nick or minor cut. I was worried about it at first, but I quickly learned that slow and steady (and a Head Blade) works well.
-
Just took a good scrap of skin off behind my ear... you would think I could follow my own advise about not obsessing about a rough spot! >:(
-
bbqguy - That was the boat I was in... minus a few years. I wouldn't even shave my face with a razor - always used an electric. So when I started shaving my head, I used one of those three-headed circular electrics for the first 2 years. But it just never got close enough, and I'd get 5'o'clock shadow at Noon. I honestly think HeadBlade is best in scenarios like yours (and mine). It's like learning to drive on a manual transmission... if you learn that first, it's much more natural than starting with automatic, then trying stick. Learning to shave your head with HeadBlade is the best way.. in my opinion. I totally understand guys that are used to shaving a certain way, and HeadBlade is just too foreign of a motion for them. Keep up the great look... and glad HeadBlade works for you!
Timmer ... I always love to hear from guys that didn't enjoy the Classic, but picked up a Sport and the rest is history. It's an interesting mix. There's a lot of guys here on SBG that prefer the Classic to the Sport. I guess it's all personal preference, like everything else!
-
Eric. When something works for me, I tend to talk about it. I do wish you guys would make a Headslick that wasn't mentholated though. Some days the menthol feels good, others, not so much. Maybe something with aloe.
