Title: Just for men?
Post by: Mauricio on July 21, 2010, 08:54:42 PM
Now that I've joined the sly club there are a few questions that I've always had about the upkeep.  I know people often ask about the shadow that men with fair skin and  dark hair have.   I was wondering whether a solution to that problem would be to use a light color of just for men?  I know this may sound strange, but this is something I've been wondering for some time.  Also, doesn't hydrogen peroxide also lighten your hair?

Just For Men is designed to cover up grey hair, not to lighten dark hair.  The shadow comes from the hair follicles just beneath the skin; it's not possible to change its color -- and even if you could, you'd have to do it every day to keep up with it.  That's why people who dye their hair have trouble keeping up with the new growth at the roots.

As a general matter, the only people who really even look at shadow is another sly guy who has one!  It was particularly troubling to me at first, but now I really don't think about it that much.  Some color also minimizes the effect.  And, shadow is the sane answer to horseshoe O:O.

I just love the smooth sly feeling. The shadow is a non-issue for me after the first surprise has vanished. When I see another sly guy I sometimes do notice his shadow, but that's it. Nothing to worry about.

I really dont think about the shadow anymore after being sly for the last 7 years and by daily shaving it keeps to a minimum.

Don't even think about it, just keep shaving it daily. Like BigMike said, it will keep it to a minimum. The shadow shows that you enjoy shaving your head, and you plan on doing it again.   ;)
