Title: Hello from a 20+ year headshaver

Have been hanging around the shaving forums and have kind of drifted towards this and other head shaving forums.

I've been shaving my head with a razor for over 20 years now, long before it became acceptable and even more surprising - popular.

My reasons for shaving my head were much the same as many blokes - I was growing too tall for my hair . . . and this was when I was 18 . . . so I took the clippers to it for a while before whipping it all off one boring sunday afternoon.

I've used just about everything ever designed to remove hair on my head including a very silly dabble with Immac (now called Veet), straight razors, DE, disposables and cartridges.

There's a few things out there left to try - such as the Headblade range and some things I'd never even considered such as Baby Oil.

At the moment I'm using the same soap that I use for my face - D R Harris Almond - with a badger hair brush (Simpson Tulip 2 2-band) and D R Harris Pink aftershave.

Looking forward to searching past threads and maybe weighing in with advice here and there when I can offer it.

Haven't been back for a looong time.

@xnewyawka: Great to see so many fellas shaving their heads - for whatever reason (MPB or just 'because'). When I first started shaving my head I was pulled to one side at work and told I was seriously compromising my promotion prospects by looking like a 'skinhead'!

Since my first post I've tried the 'Baby Oil' thing . . . great but messy . . . and have tried the latest Wilkinson Sword / Schick (US) Hydro 3 . . . Jury is still out on that.

Now I'm just waiting for some Proglide cartridges to arrive - not due out here (UK) until some time in 2011 but I managed to get some off one of the shaving forums.

Right then, I'm off now to search latest posts to see what's what.
