Title: Schick Hydro trial
Post by: edge on June 18, 2010, 11:50:53 PM
Hi all fellow Chrome domes!

Just letting everyone know I tried the new Schick Hydro 5-blader and results are dismal, not impressed at all, the shave I got was sparse and not very even on closeness, would get spots of a semi-close shave, and spots of missed areas even though I ran the blade over multiple times, I started out (way back when)using the Gillette Fusion at first with great results, then started using the M5 and have been for while now, There is no comparison to the M5 from the Schick Hydro, absolutely NO comparison.  M5 rules the land, and always will, I love you M5!

I had the same problem with my Hydro.... Great results sometimes, but other times I would have to go over several times and still not get close.

I have reverted back to the old Schick Extreme 3.  They are cheap and the form to the curve of your head for an incredibly close shave.  Can't beat it!!

Thanks, I almost picked one up.  But I'll be true to my M5, so far the best out there.  This past week one of the guys who's working the same disaster with me--full head of hair--came up and said, "You've got to really know razors, what do you use?"  He wasn't going to shave his head, but still sly does seem to impress other guys that we know what it takes to qualify as a good razor.  For me, it's M5, Headslick, & Nivea Extreme Balm.
