Title: New to forum - On day 18 . . .
Post by: jaypksfo on June 07, 2010, 05:22:20 PM: So - I decided to try the Bald look about 18 days ago. Been really enjoying it. I dont have thinning hair or mpb, just decided to give it a try. A few friends have laughed, but I think it was more the shock of it then anything else . . a few strange looks, but other then that - life as normal

Post by: jaypksfo on June 07, 2010, 10:19:52 PM: I change my blade every 3 days. I shave 1st with shaving cream then rest the head while I wash everything else then shave with conditioner - lets me get nice and close without nicks and irritation

You may find that those friends who get a chuckle now, will soon be taking you aside to ask questions about shaving "THEIR" own thinning scalps. It's a nervous chuckle, IMO, bc they are seeing a possible way out of their own hair, or lack thereof, insecurities.

Suggestion, reread the "how to shave your head" posts and information, and TAKE YOUR TIME, the "shave time" in the morning isn't a race, it's some time "to just be you"! ;D Slow down, prepare carefully, and enjoy this--it's not competition.

You look great bald and with confidence. I'm sure your friend were just shocked at the bald head, but eventually they will all get used to it. Good luck.

I have the nick here and there that I have to contend with, however, it is worth it to have such a great hair style.

I have thinning hair, but decided to go the buzzing route rather than shave since I have some new scars on my head that have not completely healed. I don't miss all the fussing about with my hair though and love this freedom! Bald guys are hot! ;D
