Some years ago (maybe 4 or 5), my wife took a course as an X-Ray tech., and she was told that all microwaves leak some radiation and to stay at least 2 feet from them while they are operating.   :o
I suppose many devices today leak at least some radiation of some sort (RF, microwave, etc.).  I guess the question is, how much can we tolerate?  Sure, the less the better, and with the world economy going to the dogs, we'll probably start using fewer and fewer of these devices.  ???  So maybe there is a silver lining in all this...!   ;)

(Semi) Urban Myth:

The greatest danger from a microwave?  Overeating (NOT "overheating").

Well, you could wrap your head in aluminum foil when using it, since us sly don't have to worry about mussing our hair.  Don't forget eyeholes and noseholes.
