I'm a sometimes bald. I first shaved my head in 2007 to support my sister who was going through Chemo. Grew it back after a few months.
Last year, on a whim, I shaved it off again. Kept it off until Christmas. (It was a cold winter, I needed the insulation!) However, I have found that my Santa Claus wig fits a lot better without any of my own hair gettiung in the way.
Just shaved it off again a few weeks ago. I've been telling people I've shed my winter coat.
I've been using whatever shaving creme is on sale and generic disposable razors. But roaming the forums and it appears there are some better products out there. The Headblade looks real interesting.

I'm another newguy, who just shaved my head for the first time less then an hour ago.
I may not be able to speak authoritatively since this was my first time, but the headblade was very impressive. Once I got the hang of how it slides over my dome while shaving, the rest of the process went pretty quickly.
Now I just need a secondary mirror to get a better look at the back of my head haha! I hear the more experienced you get with it, you can shave the back by feel alone. Which is what I did, and it feels like it worked pretty good back there, hopefully I didn't miss a patch....

Welcome BAZ. Glad to have you with us. So--come often and join in on the conversations and fun!

Definitely the HeadBlade. I use the original, as I had issues with the wheels falling off of the Sport. And their HeadSlick shaving cream is great, too. I use an old time safety razor to trim around the ears and for my face.

Phew !!! Glad I wasn't the only one that hated that damn wheel @c3 ( as I've mentioned in numerous threads )

Thanks for the greetings! Was at Walgreens today and saw they had Headblades on sale, so I picked one up. Got the Sport, they were sold out of the original. Picked up some Baldguz shaving gel also.
Just got done trying it out. I didn't the shave was any better than than what I had been using, but I like the ease of using iit.
Normally I only shabe every 3 or 4 days. However I think for June, I will do the 30 day test and shave every day.

Nice catch on the headblade sale. I'm hearing lots of sly's opt for the Baldguyz gel, I might have to try that out too.

Welcome BAZ! You'll find a lot of people who can give you pointers on how to get the Headblade to work for you.

Best shave I ever had was when I used the HeadBlade with the Shave Secret oil on my second pass. Absolutely phenomenal. You can get the Shave Secret at WalMart, and it may be available online.

Baz, welcome to SBG!!!

IMO the normal razors clear off more hair from your head than the headblade does. I use the headblade over the vast majority of my head and than use a normal razor for the spots the headblade can't get.

I tried Gillette Fusion and it worked great, but is too expensive. I use gillette mach III, it feels more sturdy in my hand and it works great. Try Nivea for me shampoo, body wash, and shave. I use a brush to put in and exfoliate my head and my shave comes out really close and smooth and shiney :)

Welcome to the SBG's forum BAZ, good to have you with us. Shave it daily for thirty days, I guarantee you will want to keep it smooth all the time.
Good choice on the HeadBlade, once you get used to how it works and it's nuances, you will enjoy the ease it affords when shaving the noggin'. O0
