Well my HB clear came apart as I was putting a new adapter on, never thought it would happen...not for owning it for only 5 months and I think its pretty much lame.
-
hey ryan: sorry 2 hear 'bout that, brah. so... did U have another headblade in your arsenal? or did U have 2 leave your home & buy another one?
WARHAWK O0

Thinking about ordering another one ( Like I have a choice in the matter ), It's really not a big deal but I've been without blades for two weeks and have been meaning to order some more but found some at walgreens today so I was a little looking forward to breaking out the HB again....but no. I don't know if it was crappy adhesive or what but it was routine, I tried to pull the adapter off and the whole base for it came with it :Xo! better go get some superglue
Come on Headblade, really ???
-
Have you even contacted HeadBlade and given them a chance to make things right?
If you give them a call I'll bet they replace it. They're great folks! O0
-
thats why i dont like headblade, made of cheap plastic, removing the adapter usually f***s the razor up, and the blades that come with the HB are terrible.
-
Try to break the S4 Shadow then... 8)
-
glue it back together with a hot glue gun O0 it works i've done it
-
I agree with Sgt, Ryan. Contact Headblade and let them know. They seem very responsiive on other issues, maybe they will replace it.
-
Like Paul and Sarge, I too think you should contact HB and make them aware of what happened.
From what I've seen of peoples' experiences with them, their customer service is top notch. I'm sure they will do what they can to make it right.

Thanks SGT.

The Blades aren't the issue and there not that bad IMO, Headblade works great for me and it serves it's purpose. Don't have the $$$ to buy an S-4 and tried some Krazyglue....didn't work that well.
I'll give them a call on Tuesday.

Have you tried the "Sport" model yet? I like it a lot better than the standard model. :@`

Oh you mean you haven't heard my bantering in regards to how much I despise the Sport and that annoying wheel >:D
Don't ask I had a sport many moons ago and I got a classic and I liked it more.

Well fine! NO S4 for you then! :*))

Ryan,
My HB Ghost had the same thing happen several months ago. I called HB and explained the situation and they offered a replacement. At first, they tried to switch me to the "sport" model. But, I like you, don't have a need for the training wheels. The great folks at HB were happy to send me a replacement at no charge.
My only beef was that the replacement that came in the mail was broken prior to opening the package! One quick phone call and another replacement was on the way.
I did consider attempting to glue the broken piece back on before I called HB. Considering my luck over the years, I decided that wasn't such a good idea. I could just imagine the adhesive failing!
Give HB a call!
Ryan

Yeah, I'll pile on the call headblade train. They seem to stand behind their product. I wouldn't recommend anyone give up on the headblade until they try the Sensor 3 family of cartridges. O0

Just talked to Lee over at HB, got a classic on the way after debate....they where trying to pitch me the sport model, no thanks.

buy me some and I promise not to give up on the headblade until I try them :D
but seriously how much do the sensor cartridges cost? I hate the fact my 14 dollar headblade collects dust because the triple blade that comes with them sucks.
-
email Mac at headblade.com (That's his email) and I'm sure he'll hook you up.

I buy Gillette Custom Plus 3 disposables for about 5 bucks for 4. I take the cartridge off of them and use them on my Headblade. Last just as long as the ones in the package. Plus they have covers that go over the cartridge. They are my favorite. :@`

you can use those on the headblade? where can I find those cartridges at?

Walmart. They are disposables with the handle. You just take the cartridge off of them and your golden. Put it on the black adapter. Works just as good as a package of cartridges but it cost about half of the price. O0

Well THAT looks like something I just have to try. Thanks for the tip! O0

I wish I could take credit Oz, but I read it from another member a long time ago. Just wish I could remember who it was so I could give them due credit.

Just got my Classic in the mail today and ran the doubles it came with after a nice hot shower.....I never remember the doubles ever giving this good of a shave but it was fantastic, I had less passes than with the trips, no cuts and plus I didn't have to do extra passes.....
I'm using up the rest of my triples that I have and definitely gonna invest in some doubles O0
-
That's good news! My Atra II cartridges always gave me a super closer shave. I just nicked my self a lot more with them.

This is kind of a new revelation for me, I've always been using the triples....not a quite a fan of them and I tolerate them but the doubles IMO a better shave tenfold and there isn't any comparison...the doubles just ride well on my scalp and it doesn't drag at all like the triples do, everyone I talk to that have cut them selves with the atra say the same thing...there's seem to be more space in the blades and the angles....
Atras never cut me but just irritated the hell out of me post shave but was smooter.

I wish they sold Classics at the store. I don't like that wheel on my Sport. It makes it almost too bulky. I really like the Custom cartridges. For me they make a big difference. But that is what makes the HB so cool. I can switch it around to make it work for me and so can you. Name another razor that can do that!

I don't either...the Classic model is where its at for me, I like the angle of it better and I get better shaves with it.

I may have to revisit the old classic just to see if I too get a better shave. :)

I have the Classic and used to use it much more in my rotation. I recently tried it again and was not pleased. It seemd like it just was not cutting properly, and I had to do many more passes than usual.
I think it may have been the cartridge I was using. I'll have to do some experimenting again.

I'm buying Personna blades Auto plus which are a compatible Atra blades... you can get them on ebay for 18$ for 100 blades.... or even 500 for something like 65$ They feel exactly like regular Gillette Atra blade.
