Just joined SBG as of 5:15 03/26/07. Glad to be amongst the bald bretheren here. Live in Texas, go by RustyRuss and a few other aliases. I'm looking for opportunities to discuss many topics which are of interest to me that include sports of all sorts, but primarily hunting & fishing, golf, and such. Happily married for 15 years. One, apple of my eye beautiful girl, child and extremely patient, with me anyway, school teaching wife.
Would also like to discuss the possibility of linking to a website that I'm working on, but would prefer to hear from the moderator/owner of SBG as I'm sure discression is warranted having read and wanting to obey guidelines here. Website is bald related and is designed in part for profit and in part to support disabled veterans returning from Iraq/Afghanistan as well as children who've become bald from chemo therapy.
Also like talking about stocks/investment ideas. I'm a real estate appraiser for residential properties in Texas (Dallas/Fort Worth) area.
I probably won't be a daily participant here as my schedule gets pretty crazy during prime time real estate season in Spring/Summer months.
Hope I fit in as I enjoy meeting people from all walks.

Welcome RustyRuss!!!
Glad to have you. I'm a financial consultant. I specialize in SAFE money strategies for those approaching retirement...and folks who don't want to lose money in the stock market, but still like to participate in market gains.
A book you should pick up that will ROCK YOUR WORLD, is "Missed Fortune 101" by Doug Andrew.
It's basically about breaking from traditional thinking on home equity and paying off your home....thinking out of the box to make your home equity SAFE and get it working for you like 99% of the population DON'T.
Man, if you can get to a Barnes & Noble or other book store and just read the first 3 to 5 chapters.....YOU'LL BE HOOKED.
Again, Welcome

My home is nearly payed for, and I agree that outside the box is the way to go any many instances. Been playing the market for the past 5-6 years callling most of my own shots. Been doing OK with Energy Stocks of which I'll be glad to pass on, but suggest you do your own DD.
ALJ - Growing Refiner in Big Springs, TX - Adding C Stores and bought 2 other refineries. Growing and making a lot of money. Stock has been to $42 most recently around $36. I got in shortly after IPO @ $19.50
DXPE - Growth oil servicing industry - Around $45 now volatil due to low float but I up big and holding for a few more greedy dollars from here.
BRNC - Bronco Drilling - Got to go up. I bought recently @ $14.90
FRO - Frontline Shipping Pays 24% div
IFN - India Fund Pays 11% Div
I'm a pretty conservative Texan but realize you gotta manage a little risk if you want to improve finances. Would be glad to listen to advice on money matters as it is a constant learning process.
