Hey guys , m new to the forum :)
Im 20 and my hairline has receeded badly n m losing hair on top too.. i used to have a head full of hair and getting women was never a problem for me..
but off late since i started losing hair im downhill on the self confidence aspect..
so i went ahead one day and shaved it all off but many people told me i dont look good without hair :( I HATE to combover and hide it because its gone beyond that, i guess.
Baldness runs in the family my dad, uncles, moms side, every1 is bald..
plus i have a naturally tanned complexion n lot of facial hair n hair on my body.
i really dont wanna end up being lonely , u know, no1 does.
iv included a pics with my hair buzzed and with it shaved clean.
take a look and tel me if it suits me?

Looks great

Think of it this way.....
A bald head is a confident/distinctive look....
Many women find a bald head attractive....
I have never found a woman to admit to finding a patchy / balding head attractive...
tomorrow is my 30day mark...
Bald and loving itn

Dude, it looks great. I wouldn't worry about a few comments from friends. It takes you and them time to adjust to your new look. I say rock it!
-
What everyone else said....it looks good on you and you have nothing to worry about. Enjoy it! :)
-
First off, welcome. Ike, IMHO either look suits you. But of course, I lean towards the Sly look. It's really your decision. Either way beats the heck out of a combover- Ahhhhhg!!!!
-
shaved clean looks better, dont worry about it, some people are meant to be shaved clean like yourself, ive been shaved clean for almost six years due to slow male pattern baldness

Thank you for all the replies . It definately made me feel a lil better.
Its just that im used to having lots of hair and now m not able to digest the fact that thers nothing left.
i guess it will take some time to get used to it n for others to get used to it.
It feels somewat odd to look myself in the mirror, a completely differnt person.
and im still feeling awkward to go out and meet my frens , both guys and girls.
Im feeling even more awkward to interact with new women.
any advice?

Just have to agree with everyone here .... you rock the sly look, Ike! O0

O0 Definitely better Sly than the Military Issue Cut
-
The Sly look suits you. Be confident in your convictions. A Sly dome is the best way to go!
-
shaved clean is best...never argue with Andre.

If you are thin on top at 20 then you'll be sporting less and less by the time you reach thirty. You are brave to make the decision now. Get it off and keep it off. If others don't like it then they can look the other way.

Sly is your look man!!! You ought to try sly with a beard. I think that would work well for you too!
-
I think you look great with it totally shaved. The sooner you shave it all off the sooner you get used to the idea of being bald. You just gotta jump in...the water's fine.
-
Keep it shaved man you'll feel alot better after you do. I notice that when your thinning and you look in the mirror you stress so much about it, but if you shave it off sure you'll see a shadow but you really don't care. An when you feel that you look good again all the confidence will come back and the ladies love a confident man.
-
shaved is definitely the look for you, bro O0

i have come to terms with the fact that sly is the look for me.
This is my identity.
This is how people are going to knw me hereafter.
i dont care what the naysayers think cos in my life, only my decisions count.
go sly !!! :)

Great decision ike_69. Sounds like you're happy, and made the right choice. O0

Dude... it looks awesome!! Congratulations on the best decision you'll ever make! I'm late on this thread, but had to comment. I was in the same boat, and actually shaved it all off at 19 years old... the summer before my sophomore year in college. I remember being SO self conscious when I first did it. And once my friends at home got somewhat used to it, I had to go face all my new college friends.....and go through it all over again.
"Why'd you DO that?" was the response from most of my college buddies. Especially since I was obsessive about gelling my hair (lame, I know). It took me some time to adjust to a new identity, but I remember when I stopped stressing about it. A hot chick 2 years older than me said, "you look better without hair". After that, I just owned it. It's all about being happy with yourself, and confident in your look. It really does affect the way you carry yourself... and at the end of the day, even if people don't admit it, most everyone is impressed with such a bold, take-charge decision. Not everyone has the courage.... so, well done man! And welcome to the Sly family.
