Your scalp get hard and used to the blad after so many years of shaving. I have had high & tight, flatop, recon, horseshoe all my live since I could remember and have been shaving the sides all my live. I guess that's why my scalp is so used to the shaving that I rarely cut myself. With the exception of the top portion of my head. I've only been completely bald for about 9 month and it took the top portion of my head sometime to get used to the shaving. I still get cuts once in a while, but rarely.

But how about his technique of shaving? Is this the best way to go with a regular razor?
I'm using the HeadBlade, completely different technique therefore.

I agree with bnt, and enjoy my shave as well, no need to rush.

That's what I was thinking--it's a nice part of the day, why screw around with it or rush it. Just doesn't make sense to this guy.
