never get a transplant.
My cousin called me last night, the one that went to hair club and is now wearing a toupee, he signed up to have another procedure with Medical Hair Restoration, this cousin has called me an idiot for almost 6 years for me having a shaved head,
i called him a stupid fool for going to medical hair restortation, but he said that he saw an ad on television a couple weeks ago, and he called the toll free number and did a consultation with a doctor and he will have a procedure done, the doctor promised him his hair back, so he will drive about 200 miles to the office to have his procedures done, it will cost him about 15,000 dollars.
iam wondering what they will do to him.
is anyone familiar with this organization.
i only spend about 10 dollars a month maintaining my shaved head.

hey fcb2001: i cannot believe that your cousin has been calling U an idiot 4 shaving your head. :/O isn't he going to spend (waste) $15,000 on a so called procedure 2 get his hair back. :/O
please, keep us posted on your cousin's quest on wasting $15,000.

You can't save all the idiots in the world. There isn't enough time, resources, or money. Plus they make all the rest of us look good :-)

I considered a transplant and was ready to go throgh with it at one point. I even had the HCM meeting and "consultation"...personally I didn't have a bad experience but once I was told I wasn't a transplant candidate I skooted out of there. No way I'm wearing a glued on shag automan. I was sooo close, I'm really glad I didn't make this mistake and your brother will regret his decision.

You won the lottery, I can't remember many people who were ever honestly dealt w/ by these charlatans, no music group intended. Count your lucky stars--and remember Sly is the only honest, risk free, and cost effective way to deal w/ mpb--all else is vanity and cr_p.

what happens at these meetings and consultations, what sort of stuff do they say.
to me it is throwing money away to go the transplant route, id never do it, my deal with mpb is no drugs, no rugs and no plugs,

he had the transplant on wenesday 5/12/2010, and he paid 15,000 dollars, the doctor promised that he will have a full head of hair back, he had about 10,000 grafts, my cousin is a norwood 7
iam a norwood 4 and i decided to shave

And how is any of this your fault? He needs to look in a mirror and scream and yell at that guy for throwing away 15 grand in a bad economy.

yup this guy sounds like hes packed full of fail to the brim, HT surgery is a horrible solution to hair loss. or well, not a solution at all in my opinion

He has the option of shaving.....
But he will NEVER get his 15k back....

I have a lady friend who does the books for one of those hair "restoration" companies. She makes a good living for them and often travels to Florida on their nickel for business purposes. She becomes very defensive when I refer to he employer as a charlatan and their customer as insecure babies and fools.
Your cousin sound to me like he got what he deserved. Hopefully he only has to learn this lesson once.

, and have both an FUT and a FUE procedures, i have no idea what those are

Another j/o, in my opinion. Has anyone ever seen him in the movie Singles?, that's how he really looked. I lost respect for him when I saw he suddenly "had hair". :D

Yeah, there was an episode of Entourage in which it was real clear that he had gone with transplants.
