I am new to Bald Guys, haven't discovered all the "how to" yet. This probably been answered already, I just haven't found it.
So, My question is: who can tell me how not to look dead? First, I am 72, started loosing my hair at 17, 60% gone by 21. When I tan with the sun, sunscreen or not, I usually peel. What sunless tanning is best for a fair skinned guy? I've tried all the popular ones..end up looking orange totally un-natural. Is there one that gives the more natural tan than any others?
THANK YOU GUYS

I think it's fair to say that Jergens Natural Glow is a favorite tanning lotion for many of the SBGs. Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer, which is available in different formulas for different complexions, gradually brings out a fairly natural-looking tan. For faster results, they have an Express version as well. Although, in my opinion, that formula produces a less natural-looking tan.
From your post, I'm guessing that you are fair-skinned, so I highly recommend Jergens Natural Glow Healthy Complexion. This is a daily facial moisturizer with a UVA/UVB SPF 20 sunscreen. It works great on the dome, blends nicely, is not greasy, and gradually produces a natural-looking color. You just need to keep it (and any other tanner for that matter) off any facial hair, as it will tend to change the color of your beard if you are a little careless slapping it on your face.

As far as I know all of these products are based on the same ingredients so it might be your skin is not compatible with that stuff and you get the strange color as a result.
Perhaps it is time to realize that tan is just not there for you?
And why should you be looking dead without tan anyway? (I'm assuming that you are 27, not 72 :))

I am never without a hat in the sun - - - -I do not want a burned dome - - -In the winter I never have a hat on - - -Strange but it works
I do use Gold Bond lotion ULTIMATE - -prevents Daily UV sun damage plus it has ANTI AGING ANTIOXIDANTS - - -not expensive
It helps keep my melon SLICK and smooth

The color will even out fairly quickly. But the guys are right, sunscreen is a must--as it is for the balding too. Except those guys w/ the carefully crafted combovers can't use it and that causes trouble--I am a recovering combover and have the problems with that, and now I realize if I'd had the stones and cleaned up 10-15 years earlier I could have been using sunscreen earlier and wouldn't be having all the skin issues w/ cancers, there were three on the noggin--and precancers.

I'm gonna give this place a try one of these days just for the hell of it......since I'm BBC, I have a pretty full hairline which tends not to tan very readily.....

Yes, you are right Ozzie, Jergens Natural Glow is a favorite tanning lotion of many people. Tanning products has coloring agent that is responsible for causing the desired color change. But be careful of using.

Jergens Natural Glow would be my choice, too. You'll avoid the orange color. They have one for fairer skinned folk.
