Hey SBG Bro's and Sisters: What is your sport of choice? What do you participate in or like to watch and support?
I thought it would be cool if we could post up pics of SBG either participating in their sport(s) of choice or attending. So post your pics up! Let's see what you wild and crazy SBG'ers do on the "weekend" or any other time for that matter!
-
only thing i do anymore is fishing or the kids sports. may see if i can find some .
-
I'll try to find some to post up here. Luckily my wife is a scrapbooker so I know she has them somewhere... ;D

Well, get out that camera next time you are the kids soccer game, find the hottest soccer mom there, get out your camera and light us up!
Tyler: Cool dude. I bet your wife have some great scrap books!
Here's what I'm doing when I am not watching my daughter's sports, working, spending time with my wife, doing volunteer work, church, etc>

They're stacked high and wide on our bookshelf...now if I can only get her to digitize them...LOL.
-
Hammer I saw your website ....it looks like a lot of fun....(I like rollerblading)....guess I need to find some hills so I can try it out!!! What are the cones for???? Are ya'll weaving in and out of them???
-
Only picture I have is me in my jeep off roading, and it's my avatar right now. I need a picture of me on my bike sometime.
-
Hot Cajun..thanks. Yeah..the cones dictate the course..you have to go around them with out knocking them off their spot or they add time to your run for every cone you hit. Each course has a max cone penalty that if you go over that run is disqualified. That particular event depicted in that pic is Giant Slalom.
VFR: Dude that pic rocks...is that down east or up in the mountains?

Golf at least once a week and play poker when ever there is a game, thinking of doing a tournament soon. Playing a small game this Saturday with about 21 people and I'll get someone to take a picture of me when I'm staring at somebody.

yea as close i come to sports is buffet eating contests, drinking games, fishing and texas hold'em lol

How could I forget the buffet and pizza eating contest!
Tonight I'm playing Omaha (unless they chicken out and go to Texas) and that usually means I'm bringing home some dough. We always do winner takes all and I'm up on the year (and I play every week with these guys) and have the most "wins" and deffinetly the most seconds. I'm conservative compared to most and I'm looking forward to this weekends 20 something person tournament I was invited to. Most of the people "play" poker and are older then me, I wan't a challenge and see how I do before I try to play some bigger games and tournaments.
-
Good luck with that O0

IBald: Good luck with that game. Get a pic seriously...that would rock.
Get that camera out boys and girls!!!

Dude, I hear the Call. I am a fan of the Fishing, but man, Poker Rocks! That or Lifting, the Love of my Mornings right there. To bad that don't allow Cameras in the Gym :-\

Kajun mentioned one I'm good at...EATING!!! D*0g C*$n #ng^y )-m
The bad thing is that I'm really not joking. I love to eat. If eating was a sport I would be world champ. I'm just lucky I have a decent metabolism. Plus I worked at a steel warehouse for 8 years so that helped keep my weight down. I guess running around and taking care of my son every day is helping a bit too. I've never really been into too many sports. I like watching football but I'm not a fanatic. What I mean is, I don't know every single players name on every single team. I tried to get involved in Tae Kwon Do a while back. I think I was about 13 or 14. I took it for a little over a year. I loved it. I liked it way better than any other sport my mom was trying to push me into at the time. I just thought it was a better way to learn self-discipline and get great excerise. I was really into it and would probably still be involved in it to this day but my Master was murdered one night while doing some book work at his office. After that the school shut down and I never got back into it. I became a teenager and started running not giving a sh%t about much else. Man, I wish I could go back.

I am into the more laid back kind of sports... Like drinking beer and relaxing with my friends.
-
Sport of choice? Well I am a bit of a rower.....havent done it for six months or so, but used to compete for Nottingham, fantastic sport and probably the hardest thing i have ever done. There is something great about eight guys making a boat fly down the river neck and neck with another boat next to you.
As for pics, not even i would inflict on the rest of this site an image of me in a lycra all in one. Very functional as far as rowing is concerned, but not that attractive and doesnt leave that much to the imagination. Somehow it used to seem ok when everyone was wearing it lol :*))

My brother qualified for the 2006 WSOP (World Series of Poker) at the Rio in Vega$. Team Schro went down there to watch. Amazing atmosphere. My parents watched my kids while my wife & I went to the event. Bro Schro made it past the first round (sat at the same table as Joanna Krupa....hot) and in the 2nd round got paired up at the same table as Josh Arieh ('04 Final Table participant). Bro had him dead to rights on several hands and only got knocked out by some unknown when he was getting blinded to death and someone flopped the case 6 on the river to gain trips on him (he was short stacked & had pocket 7's and the big blind had pocket 6's). It sucked to go out that way, but Arieh told him "You belong at this level". He has an invite to go play in the Irish Open. He learned a lot in that he needs to change gears more often at big events.
I've learned a lot from his play and routinely do well at my house games (mainly hold 'em & omaha). Some of my friends like to play wild card games, which I usually fold and make a cocktail (unless I get crazy cards). My sports? Name the season, but my primarys are golf, running, & soccer.
Here's a pic of Team Schro and my bro (he's in black). Sorry, not the greatest quality pic (an on-line poker mag writer took our pic for an article).

I like hiking, but haven't done it in a while.....my favorite sport is the 12 ounce curl (I'm a professional if you haven't hear - Just ask Paulie and Rob) Shhhhhhh don't tell'em...I don't wanna hurt their feelings, but I think I could drink'em under the table..... b!3r

Friging Cool!!
Getting into day 2 is something last year. He out played a few... 3 to 4 thousand.
I'm starting to improve a good bit with my play. Most I play with are crazy people that play anything. Learning how to bet and when to bet has been big for me. I don't play many hands and most fold on my small probing bets. I'll get wild later in the night. That means I'll play 30% of my hands. lol
I'm with you on wild cards. I go smoke.
I got to get me a pic while playing.
-
What the hell is the big blind and the little blind.?
-
thats awesome schro! i would love to go to a WSOP in vegas...i watch it on tv though lol...
-
What the hell is the big blind and the little blind.?
after the deal, the last person to call is the "big blind", the 2nd to last is the "small blind". The big blind must pre-bet the equivalent of the table minimum, and the small blind must pre-bet half the table minimum. These blinds guarantee action each hand.

As much as i would love to have you laugh at unfortunate sporting attire........ nooooooo way lol!! Or should i view this as an 'i'll show you mine if you show me yours opportunity' :*)) :D
As an aside, why is American Football called Football when it is predominantly played with the hands?? Surely the English version is more accurate. Although not the biggest fan of US Sports, I am heavily into basketball (my company owns a pro franchise in the UK), 'football' however is a sport that no matter how much i watch it i cant understand!!
An ignorant perspective...... it seems to me that they all line up and stare each other out, the ball goes backwards to one man who runs back getting ready to throw. 80% of the players then run into each other while one runs to the end but to try and catch the ball - when if successful he bounces it and does a dance!! Tongue in cheek i know, and i wouldnt expect anyone to understand cricket a five day gane that can end in a draw!! But seriously this is a sport that i have always struggled with, and i have tried!

Football is not what it is named to be, I know... But the Fact of the matter is, its a Legal form of War. You have two sides, both trying to get to the other side of the field, and plant their Flag (Spiking the Football) to claim Territory and Victory over their opponents. It is Brutal, it is Physical, it is a Man's Sport. Most of all, it is fun to watch with a Beer, Brat, and your Brothers! ;D

Preach brother, preach!!! That is probably the best explanation of American Football I have ever heard. Great job bro!!! O0

I've been away from the computer for a few days! You guys have been rocking it out!

Autox is driving your car through a cone course in a parking lot as fast as possible, while staying on course and not hitting cones. Of course i typically slaughter a few cones :) Its a lot of fun
I also golf, hike, and mountain bike. Basketball and baseball occasionally
-
Nice LiveStrong, I haven't played baseball or basketball in quite a while. Although watching my daughter play Tee-Ball and helping coach has got me itching to play ball again.
