I am a balding man (20 years old) with a decent amount of hair left. But yesterday I decided to buzz off my hair with a "0" to get an idea of what I will look like when I am completely bald. I'm not sure if I like what I see... Is my head shaped funny? Or is it just me? :(

Ok, thanks guys for your input. I'm new to all this balding stuff, since I just found out from my dermatologist that I have MPB. It seems everything bad happens to me! Even if my head shape IS okay looking to people, I'm afraid my face is too fat. As you can imagine, my mood and depression has worsened ever since getting this horrible news. I fear I will never get a girl now. (never had a girlfriend)
I know asking a question about head shape is really stupid, but please bare with me...this is very frustrating and depressing for me.

My advice is to snap out of whatever funk your in...I have plenty of close friend/brothers that have returned home without limbs or a sense of adjustment and they all have cowboy'd up and have never felt sorry for themselves which means I'm gonna have little sympathy for someone that complains about the shape of there head or they get bad news.......my sympathy meter is empty, Look at my pic, I could go "geesh, I have big ears and a skinny neck and a fat face and I haven't gotten laid in awhile".....the fat/puffy face is gone because I lost 30 lbs in which I gained after I fractured my tib/fib. Everyone here is willing to help and guide you, we all go through some sort of problems and turmoil, but if you take this head on it will give you more character and make you feel proud that you didn't let the loss of hair defeat you. Snap out of it follow through, overcome and adapt or seek life elsewhere my friend.

Your head looks fine. As for girls, believe me they like the sly look. I'm a bachelor by choice. Don't believe in marriage and I date quite a few women. Lack of hair is not a bad thing at any age. Women seem to be drawn like a moth to a flame. Not bragging, just an observation.

I know you must feel devastated right now. But dwelling on the MPB issue will not help at all. Unless you're a really famous artist or something, allowing yourself to wallow in self-pity will definitely turn the ladies off. Big time.
But, you really do look perfectly fine. With or without hair. Keep it buzzed like that if you like, but relax, just go out and have fun. There are plenty of girls who will find you attractive. Especially if you have a smile on your face, a twinkle in your eye and you move with confidence. Go practice that in front of the mirror. O0

Man, your head shape is fine. I'm being blunt here, so don't take offense, so you have MPB. No big deal! Look around, so do half the men in this World. I see from the camo over your face, a lack of confidence controls you. Build on that and you will have to fight the women off. Hair is just an accessory. It's what you have under the skin that count. Women know this better than anyone.

Your statment about MPB..... "everything bad happens to me" says a lot to me. MPB isn't a bad thing.... it just is what it is. It's just a part of life for a lot of men. I look at MPB more a s a gift.... without that gift I may have never gone SLY.... and I LOVE being SLY!
Your life is what you make of it and that negative attitude will not make you a happy man. Look in the mirror, stand tall, and be proud of who you are, just the way you are.

LOL thanks for the encouragement guys! I know it's no good to feel sorry for myself, but it's just hard not to. I'm short, scrawny, AND losing my hair. Buff bald guys look cool, but I'm the exact opposite...
Yes, there are people far worse off than me. But I still feel like "why me?"
As for the girl problem, I know a lot of you probably don't have a hard time getting the women, but at my age, college girls are still into the long, lush and thick hair (which I've never had). Most girls here don't even like buzz cuts because they are into the long hair thing.
But anyway, I'm glad I found a place where I can find people to relate to! O0

You need to get to a gym and work out some. Believe me, if you tone up, gain some endurance you will be surprized how the girls' attitude changes-- you won't have grown taller, you won't be an Arnold look alike, but you will have confidence, and the ladies like that, really. You probably aren't as "short" as you think you are--in the gym you'll see all heights of guys and gals. Get Sly, get fit, you'll be happy. Oh, and there are advantages of not being too tall, airplane bathrooms aren't built for anyone much over 5'7"! Much taller, and you'd better have a very big and controlable bladder, or like to travel in Depends ;D
